so how much is it worth?

ok, so my family is growing to the point where the A6 isn't quite big enough anymore. I've spent the last few weeks coming to the relization that its gotta go.
that being said, whats the value? its 2001 2.7T with 89,000 km (yes I am in Canada) or about 55,000 miles on it.
Its in perfect condition with very few mods (H&R springs, clear corner, 18" BBS summer, 17" BBS RC winter).
the pics are a little out of date so they dont show the clear corner mod.
Any recommendations on a list price? Sell price?

For what its worth I bought my 2002 A6 2.7T with 65K miles for $14,500. Yes I know I got ripped for a thousand or so dollars don't rub it in.

Actually if you have the stock rims put them on as it will INCREASE the value. I'm not kidding. Parting your rims out and selling the car stock will net you more cash.

Will that help a A6 though? I was suggesting more towards the stock 16"s or the optional BBS 17"s

well, is the car a 6spd or a TIP? in some markets one might do better then the others

I'd put it in autotrader and see what it fetches

what's your plan for the next car? see if you can save your wheels for the next ride; if not - just let them go with the car

also, "unmodifying" the car will cost $$$ unless you do it yourself, so if you are not DIY'ing it, then just let it go as is

there is really no market for a modded a6..strip it down and sell it back to stock..you will make much more...it takes a special breed to tackle a6 modding =D

Around $14-16k CDN=~$12k USD MAX...maybe the car is worth more, but people sadly won't pay

If you end up bringing to stock, I'm interested in the H&R springs and the 18" wheels (how wide of tires you got on them)

wow there some high numbers I been told and a6 could go for 6800 to 8000 for an 01 but then again you have low miles compared to others as i have 151592 as of tonight

I got my 03 with 55,000 miles for USD$11500. A6 market is plummeting. The best thing for you to do is sell it now. Put it up for 12,000. Don't sell for less USD$10,800.

I hate to jack the thread but what is the difference between the facelift? I know that from the 01/02 they cut out the valence in the exhaust but I really don't know anymore than that.

stone -- refers to difference in front "face" (grille shape); but yes, exhaust changed with 2002 model C5s also

They also seated the pop-up headlight washers flush with the bumper; thats a dead give away of the "facelift" models
