Any way to VAG COM the "Welcome Home" feature?

I'd really like my LED to turn on when unlocking or locking the car, but I don't have the welcome home feature. Is there a VAG COM work-around?

Thanks. That'd honestly be the first time I ever learned something from that site. Wow.

That's more than I wanted just to have the lights do what I want. I don't need any mirror functions. Plus, my radar is hardwired to the place where the coming home switches are next to the headlight switch. Oh, well. Thanks for the info, though.

Never got a definitive answer though so I never tried it. Let me know if you go ahead and do it because I would love to have this feature.

Anyone know the conversion rate on currency so I can get a ballpark on parts cost from that thread?

I could always tuck the switch up under the dash, because I'd never have need to mess with it.
I wish there was a work-around to not need the mirrors and auto-lights switch. All I want is the LED's to kick on; I don't want any of the other stuff that comes with that option, and I certainly don't want my headlights coming on automatically (does that need to be in the "Auto" position for the other features to work?).

I don't have coming home, so I'm not sure if it needs to be in the auto position or not. You can plug the part numbers into audipartsdepot.com or genuinevwaudiparts.com to get US prices. If you really want to do the conversion I can help get you the correct part numbers (LHD, interior color, etc). HTH.
