not trying to take anything away from kievskiy's ride, but its not possible to compare a highly mod-able turbo vehicle against the n/a 4.2...if you want something closer to compare it to, make it the rs6..and sorry, that thing is gods A6 and shall not be beaten by THE FAVORITE ENGINE TYPE 4.2 lol..;D

oh boy, here comes the fighting....let me just say...yes! the C5 A6's are the best looking audi's to this day.....and im sorry , not to start anything, but really, not even the RS6's 4.2T can take a fully modded Stg 3 2.7T ... that's that. ive seen videos of 2.7T S4's that take down, lambo,porsche,big mercs,lots of vettes,vipers,....ect...all things that the RS6, and the 4.2 has not done

To be honest with you...I have never really seen any video's of a modded C5 RS6 doing anything. I have no idea what it would do against a stage 3 2.7t? The chipped numbers alone are pretty good though...528hp/539tq with apr. Doesn't that put it in line with most stage 3 kits? I have no idea what its truly capable of.

I voted 4.2 for my wifes A6...but I do have a 2.2t S6 so this poll eventhough it is great and will prove that we either like 2.7t's or 4.2s is not quite perfect :)

well lets face the facts..a modded rs6 will spanky all over any modded 2.7..its not even fair to compare once you mod the rs6

there isnt many mods you can do to an rs6 outside of a chip. the 2.7 you can build up the motor, slap on some gt series turbos and spank the rs6. i love the rs6, dont get me wrong, but the weak link would be its tranny.

if money wasnt an issue, 4.2T then. 6spd manual swap it, build up the motor, and slap new turbos on it. that would be a beast, but would cost an insane amount of money. 2.7 all the way

yea well if your talking about having enought money, im sure anyone with the rs6 has it lol..im talking equal modding car for car its obvious the rs6 would take it..and honestly i think stage 3 2.7 would be still a close race for a chipped rs6...all depends really idk what stage 3 2.7 would put down hp wise? 500? anyone know? thats really what will solve it lol

depends what turbo option you do on the 2.7. they could range from 450-650 crank. chipped rs6s sit about 500-550hp crank (depending on chip i think)

even a built chipped RS6 with about 550-600hp, would still get its doors ripped off , when racing a stg 3 2.7T off the line , V8's arnt quick like a small V6, and that car couldn't keep up with it on the back roads like i said, the 2.7T is the ultimate motor, period.

don't get me wrong, the C5 RS6 is the most amazing 4dr car IMO , and its a total beast, and i would take a stock RS6 over a stag 3 , because its a "RS6", but stg 3 2.7T is really somthing else.

drove friends giac rs6, yes it is fast and comfy, but not as sharp as my car, v8 has a slow response comparing to my v6, and i only have light flywheel and stg2+, and since the money IS the issue here, 2.7T FTW!!! RS6 is good, but stop dreaming guys, no one getting it any time soon, LOL

I almost got one, test drove it, but hearing all the horror stories about it, im just went with the next best thing, the 2.7T ... but in a year or so i still may buy one or an 2006-2007 A8
