Info on SSP Tuning

I have been thinking about getting a tune but its so expensive but I informed by a fellow AZ member that a company called "SSP Tuning" in NY can help me for cheaper than others tuners. Custom tune from scratch. I'm definitely going with these guys, just need to save up some cash. Has anybody heard any bad things about these guys?

ask around, and look at the s4 forums. quite a few guys run Gregs tune and are very happy with it.

theres quite a few s4 running his tune that are happy with it. As far as a4's, i know theres one who recently went BT/BAT and has a tune from ssp and theres also militant grunt who has his ko3 file from ssp. he works there AFAIK

I haven't had any tuning work done there, but I will NOT buy anymore Audi parts from Greg @ SSP. I bought the ASP exhaust he also had for sale on Audizine off ebay.

We have spoken on the phone...you've promised to send the item several times, but have not done so. Today, Dec 24 2008, I filed a PayPal claim for failing to deliver the Item I paid for. You seem to have a nice professional Audi tuning business...it surprises me that this is how you conduct your ebay transactions. Please send me my exhaust-I have $595 dollars riding on this!

EDIT: Greg- Thanks for sending the exhaust. Only took +/- 30 days, but he seems like an OK dude. He's just real busy or he needs to get his shit together. Still waiting for the included and missing differential mount, but I'm happy with the exhaust- thanks Greg!

I dont know about their work at a shop, but PERSONALLY I will not buy parts from him again.

Around this time last year he posted a group buy for electric exhaust cut outs, I sent a money order to him. He verified that it he received it in January, and then for a while afterwards he would not reply to many of my PM's/emails, when he did reply I always got the "it will ship in a little bit." I later found out the group buy never went through, and didnt get a refund until June(6 months later).

In the end, I DID get my money back, and he even offered to give me a bit more money back on top for the trouble (though I didnt feel it was right to accept the offer).

However, it was not the best buying experience I have ever experienced. I think Greg is an honest business man, but personally I will not buy from him again.

If you're low on cash and want a tune, look into SpeedTuning. I've heard amazing things about his Stg2 A4 Tuning. It's not from scratch, but its $200 for AZ Members (email him and het m him know that you're an AZ member. He'll drop the price from 250 to 200. From what i know, peak boost for Speed Tuning Stg2 chip is 21psi.

Greg@SSP did my timing belt, installed my K04's, gutted my downpipes, installed my hose kit and diverter valves. He also created my custom stage 3 tune. He will also be tuning my new setup.

Greg @ SSP is awesome. He has done absolute wonders for my car and has always done right by me. No matter if its normal call of duty work he has done to my car (repairs, maintainence or mods) or even helping me out in a jam. Which he has done on many occasions, even coming to me when needed. And I can also say, that ANY additional mod I added, he always re-customized my tune to accomodate... So if you want a tune that is customized to your actual car & its mods, I would highly recommend him & SSP.

He got my fat pig of an A6 into the 11's!! No other A6's anywhere near that...

I have quite sometime trying to get him to deliver and he just doesn't reply to my e-mails nor answer on my phone calls or text messages.
My customers don't believe me anymore... I've lost... a lot!!!, this is not writing for somebody else , it is happening to me.
I just wish he could deliver what I paid for.
