S4 seat question

will S4 leather/alcantara seats fit in a '98.5 A4? my brothers front seat in his A4 is all ripped up and i found a pair of seats from a sport package S4 for a pretty good deal. are different brackets needed or will they bolt right in? thanks!

ya how did 113 people view this and no one know the answer. seems like someone would have swapped seats between an S4 and A4 at some point... anything guys?

ive done it ... both ways.

if the a4 had manual seats, you will see there is only 1 front mounting point in the middle, where the bracket is welded to the floor. you will need to weld 2 nuts to the 2 corners so the s4 seats can be bolted down.

if the a4 had a power driver seat, it will bolt right up, but the manual pass seat will need the nuts welded.

if putting a4 seats in an s4, you will need to cut the bracket out of an a4 and weld it to the s4 in the front middle

this issue has been discussed TONS of times in the past. SEARCH and research is your friend. STFA on the b5 a4 forum on AW and you will get tons of answers. when i went to do it, i just searched the forums really quickly to get some background on the job and see if there are any tips and tricks
