I posted last week about how after installing the H&R springs, the rear height was jacked and was pretty much the factory sport height, no change. Went back to my mechanic yesterday and thought about what could be the issue. The rear was not riding on the bumpstops so it wasn't holding up the car higher than it should have. After finding everything to be normal, he called H&R and explained the problem and they said they would get back to us later.
While waiting for them to call back, my mechanic said he was going to loosen all the rear control arm bolts and put the car back on the ground to see if it would make a difference. Funny enough, 5 minutes after he starts loosening the bolts, H&R calls and suggests the exact same thing!
Well, he was right. Loosening them up and putting load on the suspension caused it to drop 0.75"! After tightening them back up, now the rear sits at 25" and the front 24 14/16". You can see the first pic, which was taken when the springs were installed last week and compare the second, from today, after fixing the issue. Then took some pics in downtown Boston
