Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have heard that Allroad bi-xenon lights will fit on my 1999 A6.

    Have someone done this?

And Is it possible to get the parts used somewhere?

they do work on the 99 a6 but it is hard to find em. unless you try shokan.com they just might have em.. or just buy em new those are pretty much the only options.

That's a Huge understatement! 25 of us would buy if we could -- no aftermarket, OEM pricing thru roof. (Endee has on his '00 or '01 C5-2.7)

What makes the allroad lights so much better than others?
I guess I got lucky that I bought an allroad

    Issue? send me an email

When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.

    1) replacement xenons in general - after some number of years, even wet-sand treatment won't bring 'em all the way back to clear; nobody sells lenses, have to get the entire housing, including ballasts, etc. Way too expensive.
    2) Bi-Xenon in particular (as opposed to halogen high beams). Allroads have 'em.

Re: Allroad Bi-xenon on 99' A6 Where to get the parts?

i could be mistaken, but i dont think the allroads have Bi-xenon.

however, I do remember reading that the projector lens in the allroad is better than that in the normal A6.

Re: Allroad Bi-xenon on 99' A6 Where to get the parts?

the allroads projectors are amazingly purple idk whats so different of them between a normal a6 projector but there much more purple, but i have 04 a6 bi-xenon headlights in my 99 a6 and i painted the cut off sheild in the projector black to eliminate the rainbow effect and now i have huge purple hues above the cut off ... its great.

Re: Allroad Bi-xenon on 99' A6 Where to get the parts?

My understanding was that Bi-Xenon meant xenons for low and high beams.... Perhaps I "assume"d wrong?? And I also thought Allroads came with them. So,... I guess it's time to ask. Anybody?
