Jensen in-dash dvd player??

I've been looking to buy a single din in-dash dvd player for my 99 A6 2.8L.
I've doing a lot of searching online and for the price that I am looking (~$300), it seems that my options are either Jensen, Valor or Eonon.
Does anyone have any experience with these (good and bad)?
It seems that valor is the only one that comes pre-equipped with ipod control(charge, playlists, etc) and for jensen you need to buy an extra cable.. altho it's not much. It'd be nice to also have SD card and USB connections as well, which Eonon does.. but i'm not sure if it can control the ipod from the deck.
Any recommendations for these or anything else that's out there???

noo dont do either of those brands!! they'll take a dump in like 2-3 years! if you want an in dash unit go with a pioneer! double din pioneer or eclipse or alpine screen! or if you want to keep it O.G. you can go with the audi rns-e unit!

Remember that you get what you pay for. I have learned the hard way that it is better to buy the right thing, the first time or else it will cost you double in the end.

my friend had Jensen for 5 years no problems....not sure about other brands......

Jensen has gotten better. I had a motorized in-dash dvd player for years with no issues.

one of my friends is selling his indash dvd player, i think its a pioneer. its a single din 7in with sat radio and all kinds of crap. if youre interested i can get more specs...i think he wants like 400 for it.

You can buy anything at the flea market! I used to work for a distributor for Jensen mobile and we sold A LOT of the indash radios. I would say that 30% of them came back for warranty repair. Take that number how you want. We kept selling them cause they were cheap and a lot of people never had any issues.

All that being said, I would buy something better. I think they just sound bad. I picked up a Pioneer avhp4000 or whatever it is dbl din from tweeter that is closing for $275 yesterday.

for head units i would personally reccommend a pioneer.. they have never steered me in the wrong direction!!

Ok so it seems that I can get some Clarions for about the same price range. How are these? They're not some cheap chinese company so aren't they reliable?
I'd love to get a pioneer but they're just too expensive :(

i just got a kenwood flip up in dash dvd for my 99 a6 and its great i love it.. i changed the color of all the stuff to red to match my interior at night.. its sweet. and i got the audi logo put on the background too.. id go kenwood, mine was 600 because it was a display model.

i got a pioneer double-din radio.. my car came with an avic-d1 that started having touch screen issues that couldnt be fixed without getting a whole new screen. so part of my economic stimulus check went for it. its great. does everything i want it, but i can live without a screen and nav, this one has bluetooth and a usb port that allows me to use a usb stick or ipod or most other mp3 players. got a separate portable gps nav for when i need it (rarely).

valor... i have had 2 reason being is i was on my way to a show and the screen just shut off and would not come back on... 2 days after i bought it. then second one was alright till it stopped taking CDs 5 or 6 months later... and was then stolen. so my .02 is valor is crap and i have only heard horror stories about eonon(from hongkong) and i have never really trusted jensen either.... id go with alpine pioneer or something of equal quality.

ok so i just had some more stuff done to my a6 and it sounds amazing, i had a sub put in the trunk and all the bass speakers replaced and the tweeters finally work on the back doors.. the rear door speakers none of them worked because my oem amp was coroded and had alot of water damage somehow.. but now its all good. and they just ripped the old system out.. but yea the kenwood system i have they wired it up so when i turn the headlight switch on it goes dim for night viewing,, they did a great job, and i got a USB hook up too its sits down by the e-brake.. ill post some pics tomorrow hopfully if i remember...
