    The Vibrant Thing

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Finally a pic of my S6. Wifey drives it alot, and I am running 19x8.5 fronts and 19x9.5 rears. Here's the question: Recently she dented one of the front rims, so now I shop for new wheels. I have a buddy that is selling the wheels in the pic below, but they are 20s.......but at a damn good price. Should I do it, or find some decent 19s?

might work out, but 20s are to big imo esp for stock height

    Re: The Vibrant Thing

I would love, love, love to drop the S6. Hell, I run coilovers on my
E36 3series, and an ACS drop on my E53 X5.......bbbbut like I said, wifey drives this alot, and really; she ain't that great a driver......
I know the wheels are not to alot of ppls taste, but I must find a medium 'tween something she will curb (therefore, I don't want to spend a boatload of loot on three-pc wheels), and something that looks different. (Pit viper, A62TURBO) What do you suggest?
EDIT: Maybe I will sneak drop it, and don't tell her shizzle........

ive seen several wagons with those MRRs, they all look crazy hot. everyone says they dont like em until they see them on the cars. they are sick rims, id rock em. only thing is you do need a drop to be able to pull off teh MRRs. they will look like ass imo without a proper drop

A62TURBO: I looked into your photo gallery.......are you saying you would keep the wheels on your A6 over the MRRs? I mean, cuz those are the ones I would not take for free......I'm just saying.......

    Re: The Vibrant Thing

streetsoffire: I will say it again, both of the wheels you posted are WHACK lol and I def wouldn't trade my wheels for your MRR's. My A6 is my daily driver and I have no reason to upgrade wheels.

ps. I'm not giving my wheels away for free but you can make me an offer

A62TURBO: For your wheels, I can offer 2 Snicker bars, a bootleg copy of "Kung-Fu Panda", and a 2007 World Wildlife Fund calendar.
    Deal?

Edit: I just found out that Snicker bars are 75 cents, so I will hafta rescind that.......

    Re: The Vibrant Thing

It's funny how people take such offense on a forum, where everybody has they're "own" opinion. Relax bro, everybody has they're own taste, so I won't respond to something so immature. Good luck with your wheels.

    Re: The Vibrant Thing

I usually appreciate someone doing a different style than everyone else. Both of those wheels just look bad in my opinion. For some reason your 19's look small to me. Like the car is lifted or something. I'm not trying to be a dick, just how it looks...maybe its the angle.

    Re: The Vibrant Thing

A62TURBO: I'm just funning with ya. Whenever someone post pics of their car on the interwebs, they gotta expect a few hits. My skin is not that thin.
As far as the drop goes: Hell, I concur; but my wife won't drive a dropped car (or one with tinted windows, or a deeper exhaust).
Back on the suject of wheels: Don't like the MRRs? Show me some pics of some reasonably priced wheels that I can get on the S. I am open to suggestions. If you are gonna shoot'em down, show something that will work. I like them cuz the rears are 20x10, putting fat meat on the ground.

I stress the word "like" meaning similar style. I haven't gone crazy with my A6 because it's my daily driver but I like to hook up my e66 BMW, AC Schnitzer roof and trunk spoiler, 20" OEM #32 wheels, 5% tints etc. Here's a pic.
