its the twin turbo motor from the B5 S4....400+hp is childs play with one of these...biggest pit fall was reliability...but this looks like it could be a blast...i am sooo jealous...whats the scoop on this thing...wheres the motor from whats the plan with it?

    Re: 2.7T in a B6

I thought someone like AMS or MTM did this once in Germany. Got it working on a test car, but realized the cost would be too great for the average modder to pony up.

Correction... ABT Sportsline did it with the B6 and B7 A4 - calling them the ASR4 models.

i would love to do this... Isnt the hard part the ECU? like getting the electronic goodies to work with the b6 and make the engine run?
ecu/gauge cluster... the problem is that if you look at a wiring diagram for the OBDII port in our cars you see that the ecu, cluster, several alarm components, your central convenience, etc etc etc are ALL intertwined on the same circuit and im fairly sure the B5S4 is setup completely different from ours - even if those other units [in our cars] were compatible with the s4 ecu. meaning that best case scenario the b5s4 ecu is plug and play with the components, but the way the circuit is setup won't be.... worst case scenario neither the components or the circuitry is and you have to change all of it.

in a nut shell that means the ENTIRE car has to come apart for this to work properly (not just the engine bay and the dash), and it'll take a lot of adaptation of your stock components along with some very in-depth knowledge of the electrical bits in our car (aka - miles worth of wiring and more control boxes than you can imagine) to really pull off a flawless install.

like it was said earlier - nobody wants to really pay for that lol. my bet is that it's a shop project for APR if that is indeed their shop, and they'll showcase their stage 3 2.7 setup in it.

props to the build none the less, this is cool as hell to see the process and not just the finished project like ABT's cars
