Castrol Syntec // $29.99 per 5 QTS @ Autozone!!

Autozone has a sale on Castrol Syntec (fully synthetic) oil, $29.99 for 5 quarts and it includes a K&N oil filter. any thoughts on this filter if it fits our cars? i usually just use a bosch or mann. this is a pretty damn good deal for the euro grade 5W-40 that i purchase. it lasts until Nov. 19th and hopefully it isn't limited to Colorado!

i got the same deal about 2 or 3 weeks ago for the same oil. The only difference was that the autozone here didnt have K&N filters. I choose the Mobile 1 oil filter instead. Its a great deal. Saves like 10 or 15 bucks. Thats why I bought enough for 2 oil changes on the spot.

^^just go buy 5 quarts while the sale is going on...your next oil change will be a cheap one. i plan on buying enough for my gf's GLI and my next Audi oil change. you really can't beat $30 for fully synthetic oil.

any word on whether the K&N oil filters are useable?

went to 2 different wal-marts this week and they both had no synthetic at all... is there some kinda shortage.

the walmart near me doesn't have the castrol oil i need, so this is the next best thing. plus any time i can avoid walmart i'm helping out the local economy. what a terrible company.
