Can only just sell the whole piping kit (all 4) since that is how I buy them from my replicator and not sure how it would line up to your IC since it is 2 in and 1 out. Just deselct all the options for the pipes only.

Correct, you have to cut the back side up. There is room for an small aftermarket fog, I just haven't had the time to find one that would fit and be easy to mount. The problem with the stockers is that they are deep and bulky.

Here is what I did to make the fogs go. Who knows, if you got creative you could epoxy something that would work or insert a thin aftermarket fog on the backside.

Re: JHM B5 S4 FMIC Kit, Now ON SALE for the Winter!

I'm ready to buy. Just a little too lazy to search for performance comparisons. How do these measure up to say, AWE sidemounds.

I am running K04's on stock IC's and my options are basically AWE's or yours.

I dig the front mount look and had one on my A4. I dont mind losing my fogs since i dont use em anyways. I have ASP engine and tranny mounts and snubby. So there's not much engine movement. I am running my stock fan. How critical would the EFK upgrade be? Since that little fan in the front will be deleted.

Well I have personally ran many s4s through all 4 gears (mock quarter mile) at 23 psi and here is what I have seen personally. 3rd gear pulls don't really show how better ICs shine. So if you beat on it longer the gap would widen.

For shear lowest intake temps in the 23 psi range I have seen as follows (on many cars in similar temps, over a period of years)

    1. JHM FMIC
    2. ER sidemounts W/O shrouds (pretty close)
    3. AWE SMICs (temps start soaring on top of 3rd before you get into 4th, in 4th the temps are plenty high enough to hurt power)
    4. RS4 ICs. (not that far behind AWE and they flow really well)
    5. IPP ICs
    6. Stock

When you boost higher than 23 AWE ICs do horrible. ERs and my kit are the only 2 I recommend for RS6 turbos and bigger. So with smaller turbos in heat above 80f or so they will shine big time as well. After repeated blasts the car won't slow down as drastically with a bigger IC, the recovery time is SOOOOO much faster.

The only thing you will notice with K03s and this IC is a tiny bit of lag due to its size. But if you as Dan(had K03s with it and went 12.28 @ 114mph) or Matt who has it with K03s now, the cooler air and more power when it gets warm FAR outweigh the small lag from the large core. Plus you will be ready for whatever you throw at it later.

No problem on the service and fast shipping, we try really hard to get everything out we can the same day. It is like a circus around here until the Fed Ex truck comes for pick up.

Read above for my SMIC info.

Dan ran his without the EFK for a full year back in 06 through summer here in CA with no issues. You should be fine, I am just one of those overkill kind of guys.

Stock ICs are horrible and start restricting flow above 5500 rpm even on a K03 car. Stock ICs are good for only stock cars and or cold weather.

Re: JHM B5 S4 FMIC Kit, Now ON SALE for the Winter!

Just ordered one. What is the purpose of that small black fan in the front anyway? Does that just get eliminated?

Oh... Instead of the JHM logo... How possibly would it be for you guys to stencil on a Audi Ring logo? it would basically decide whether ill remove my grill or not. Basically my S4 looks like the black one with the no logo on the front grille. Instead of the JHM it would look SIIIICK with a black audi logo on the IC. Let me know what you can do please. Thanks

The small black fan is for the A/C only. So most people are ok without it. But the EFK will kick in with the A/C on or if temps go above 193 F.

As for the Audi rings, I couldn't do it due to legal issues.

However you could, i could give you some pointers on making a stencil.

I'm still wondering why the passenger side lower silicone is retained. I wish that lower passenger solid pipe went all the way to the turbo like this side:

instead of having to go into that lower silicone as mine is crimped pretty badly.

Any way to custom make me one for a price?

Couldn't tell you about triming the bumper for a Reiger. I had to trim the RSR bumper above a little bit (but the RSR is originally desiged for an A4). So don't think it is similar enough.

We originally developed the piping kit for this car back in March of this year, in house. We then had it replicated. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...highlight=FMIC

So if something was being sold on ebay I couldn't tell you about it. Anything on ebay also wouldn't come with our video and paper instructions, hardware kit with stainless brackets and customer support.

It is reused by many kits even ERs SMIC kit. The hose on the passenger side it quite straight if the piping is installed right.

If you bought the kit from me and your hose is causing you problemsand is worn or something I may have one I can set you up with.

You may want to double check and make sure the passenger lower pipe is under the A/C hoses as well.

Email me if you are looking for a custom piece. I can look into it.

I was curious too if you are selling your kit online. Because there is that 25% cash back they are having. Good time to buy your kit.

Who is they? I have it in our online store. We don't do ebay nor plan on doing ebay for our products as of now.

What core do you guys use? I am thinking about upgrading from AWE SMICS. They dont do so well with Modified RS6 turbos

You may want to double check and make sure the passenger lower pipe is under the A/C hoses as well.

ERs do NOT reuse any of the lower silicone/rubber piping.

Also, any updates on the ER shrouds?

Yes, the AWE ICs struggle with anything at or above 23 psi unless it is really really cold out.

Everything is right in the product page in our site. --> http://www.jhmotorsports.com/shop/ca...products_id=43

Here is a quote that will answer your question.
    Background
Introducing the JHM FMIC that fits behind the stock bumper (see installation notes below). In order to bring a low cost Front Mount Intercooler Kit to market we based this kit on the popular low cost Ebay core that JHM and many others have had REAL WORLD success with. We just wanted to put it in a comprehensive kit with a nice and clean 4 piece piping kit, our popular VIDEO instructions, 35 minutes in length (really needed for all the bumper mods), mounting brackets and an optional but recommended electric fan kit. Like many mods, you have to sacrifice something for performance. You basically have to remove half of the bumper support between the mount brackets, remove your stock fog lights (aftermarket fog lights may fit) and eliminate or relocate your headlight squirters to install this kit. So unless you need your headlight squirters, fog lights or are worried about taking a pole right to the center between the bumper brackets you should be fine.

They DO reuse the stock lower passenger hose just like my kit. They only supply a new pipe for the drivers lower S-hose which I get rid of as well.

This is pic from one of the several I have received directly. So unless I have been getting shipped different sets, I only see one pipe in that kit (I unpacked that set and took the pic personally)

The shrouds are in production and I know the final prototype fits. So really soon hopefully.

Jay, I just installed mine. That pipe that you see is used on the passenger's side in place of the stock hose. On the driver's side, the inlet to the IC extends to meet the stock hardpipe.

You're right, I have been installing a bunch of mine lately and haven't done an ER set locally for a while. Probably just didn't visualize it. HAHA.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the reminder.

You won't regret it. The JHM FMIC performs great.
