What would be the most incredible turbo kit?

I picture it as a twin scroll, tubular manifold setup that matches perfectly with a ER Comp intercooler and SEM cast intake manifold...

Tell me what your thoughts are...

Coupled with a custom tune on a fully built motor with aftermarket cams, valves and springs. The cams will help the engine breathe with that new IM and the springs will allow a very large powerband.

Of course. How else would a 'solid package' be sold?

That will come. Give it time and be patient.

Lots of money being enough to buy the setup he/you is describing. Not too many people can dump the 10-12k all at one time on a build like that would require. I'm sure someone or possibly even you will say look at my car, however I have done everything over a large period of time and my biggest splurge at once being the HRE's. Even with the money spent on my car I havent nor do I see in the future myself having enough to do a complete setup all at once costing as much as it would said and done. The result would be a bunch of hodge podge, unfinished, untuned cars with less than desireable results as we have right now.

In this day and age, a perfect world IMO is everyone having enough money to support their families and actually be able to pay bills and not give their possessions back to the bank.

I think greg is just trying to describe the setup he would like to see actual get done and wants to see what other people would call the "perfect turbo setup" they would like to see on an A4 1.8t.

Not like we have any way of building it.

    Re: In a perfect world...

    haha yea kinda went OT

FR Tubular V-Band Mani, Twin Tial V-band 38's, V-band 3076R with 3582R option, V-band downpipe which mates to stock 3 bolt exhaust flange (after CAT, no welding required), metal 3.5" TIP with a connection block for those who run full vac system or none, and locates the filter back in the engine bay with a heat shield between the turbo/manifold and filter with a CF cover which covers the filter and directs air from the stock inlet port in the front clip, Mating ER Comp with optional upgrade piece for current ER owners supplied with a Tial 50mm BOV welded in place, connecting to an R32 or VR6 throttle body on a SEM intake manifold

    Is that perfect enough?

yeah I think it's mostly us GTRS or equivelant guys who need to be patient, we thirst for more power much like you guys, but require a bulletproof solution to jump in. At least that's my case, I certainly don't want to be the one putting all the hours and money into figuring out the next power plants for the B6. Thumbs up to you guys for having nuts haha

The catch with going beyond a GTRS is $$$. It takes a forged bottom end (minimum rods) so you are increasing the cost exponentially to obtain higher and higher power numbers. To go get that extra 50awhp you are spending a lot of money. It comes down to what the customer feels is worthwhile to them.

In the end, in the ideal world we are thinking, there will be multiple packages ranging from the GTRS on stock block to a T/S 3076+ on a built block with software for those configurations. The later hasn't caught up to the level and reliability of the GTRS. However, it is coming.

"increasing the cost exponentially" is the key phrase there..

Doug is right though, it's coming, we just need to give it time.

Whenever a problem surfaces with my car or I see something new I want for it, I tell my dad and his response is "Anthony, all it takes is money." And then he laughs and walks away..

I myself would love to see custom tunes done by a few different tuners, this way the customer has an option of what tune they would like to get with the turbo setup.
