    MBC Install Help Please!

Ok so I got everything apart and I obviously didn't understand exactly how to intall the MBC. I thought you ran it IN PLACE of the n75 but it doesn't have 3 moles to go into the TIP. What goes into the TIP in the n75's place?

Someone please explain this to me

With the n75? If that's what you mean, then yes. That is how you're supposed to right?

Let me guess, the answer would be a "plug" or just leave the N75 in the TIP with a hose connected to the other 2 nipples on the N75 valve.

    Re: MBC Install Help Please!

i hear it can be run both inline with the N75 and also used to bypass the N75. Which is better i'm not sure, heard of people doing it both ways though.

    Re: MBC Install Help Please!

yeah just loop n75 while it's in the TIP keeping it plugged in, and then just read your MBC directions and plug the lines into the right spots

    Re: MBC Install Help Please!

Run the MBC (manual boost controller) alone. Leave the N75 in the tip (turbo intake pipe) and leave power plug connected. Disconnect all lines from the N75, you dont have to loop anything on the N75, just leave the 2 ports open.

Take the line coming from the turbo and put on the MBC in port and take the line going to the wastegate and connect to the out port on the MBC. Set your SPS 3 to boost 9 and leave it on that then control your boost with the MBC and hold on because it is gonna spool up way faster with just the MBC compared to the N75, but you will suffer an on/off feeling of boost after like 10psi. It will now jump from 10psi to whatever you have it set at (controllable up to 10)

If you leave the N75 in the TIP the 2 other ports need to be plugged, if you dont you end up letting in unmetered air. If you remove it from the TIP you don't need to plug the 2 ports.

    Re: MBC Install Help Please!

I ran my car like that for 3 years now. You dont need shit plugged, just like you dont need the N249 valve and the other one under the intake mani looped either if you remove those systems.

    Re: MBC Install Help Please!

Alright, so the MBC is in. I just left the n75 unplugged like David said. But now here's the situation, you may recall that my turbo was cutting boost past 6500rpm. Now, with the MBC it does it at 5500. NOTICABLY earlier... What's with this??

LOL, OMG 3 whole years? That just means for 3 years you have been allowing unmetered and unfiltered hot ass air into your turbo inlet hose.

My N75 valve hasn't controlled boost in over 7 years.

    Re: MBC Install Help Please!

when you say unplugged you mean the ports right? Keep the electrical plug plugged in.

When you say cutting boost is it something like you are running 20psi then at 5500 you fall to 10psi and it stays at 10psi until you let off? If that is the case then your turbo intake pipe is collapsing most likely. It happened to me with my Neuspeed Xtreme and I had to put a hose clamp around the center of it and tighten it to hold it in a round shape so it wouldnt collapse.

What I am saying is my car ran perfectly fine for 3 years in regards to anything that would have affected.

Yes it is electrically plugged in but not the 2 ports.

    Re: MBC Install Help Please!

Ok, so I put the stiffer spring in the MBC to see if that would help and now it's only boosting 10psi AT ALL TIMES. What if I didn't run a spring in the MBC? Would that work?? Or else I need a very soft spring

Ok so taking the spring out of the MBC renders it completely useless sooo,, no on that. I think my car is in limp mode now.. Only boosting 10 psi.

Unplugged battery and plugged it back in and it's still boosting 10psi...... WTF? I'm about to sell my car
