?'s about eurocode GT71R elim package

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I'm looking at the GT71R elim kit from eurocode

ATP GT71R kit with EuroCode/REVO Software THE COMPLETE SOLUTION

It says it includes the REVO BT software for $699. Well how does that work? Do I need to send them my ECU to get flashed or does my local Revo tuner do it? Also, I was under the impression that whole point of the Revo tune was that it was more or less custom to your individual car, not just a one size fits all like Giac and APR.

Any help here would be appreceated.

    Cheers

Re: ?'s about eurocode GT71R elim package

Yes you will have to ship them your ECU for the REVO flash. And they will put the timing and boost on conservative levels. You will need the ''REVO select plus'' ($350) to adjust timing and boost to the levels you desire. Thus having a more custum to your car tune compared to APR and GIAC.

    REVO select plus:

    hope it helps!

Re: ?'s about eurocode GT71R elim package

It isn't "custom" in the fact that the maps are tweaked to your particular car but that you are able to adjust timing and boost in increments where say with APR or GIAC you either have pump tune or race tune that has 1 set boost and timing level. Dont think that it is a "custom" tune though because it isn't. And like said above you will have to purchase the Select Plus or an older SPS 3 unit to be able to adjust the timing and boost.

Re: ?'s about eurocode GT71R elim package

What is unique about the REVO BT tune is that you have the ability to tweak the software to match the characteristics of your car, by using a SPS3 (or select plus), you can choose from 9 different timing maps and 8 different boost maps (the 9th boost map is reserved for a MBC or EBC for those who wish to run greater than 22.5psi).

The setup is not perfect, however it is proven to make great, affordable power on a stock internal motor.

Just remember that from square zero (no modifications) it will cost about $6000 to run at full potential.

In comparison, APR stage 3+ will cost $9000 to run to full potential.

By saying full potential I am accounting for a FMIC, exhaust and clutch upgrade.

Yeah, I understand. I guess I didn't use the right words in my question. Obviously, it's not like a custom dyno tune, I'm aware of that. But you did answer my question anyway with the SPS3.

Which leads me to another question. I thought the SPS3 was the newest version. Is that incorrect?

Re: ?'s about eurocode GT71R elim package

On second thought, I'm not going with this package.

I don't want the Ecode testpipe or the turbonetics VBC.

I think I'm just going to order the GT71R turbo and hardware, ATP manni, 440 injectors, and get the car flashed at my local dealer.

As for support mods I'm going with a Milltek DP-back exhaust (tiptronic), Milltek HFC, ER comp FMIC, and a Fast Intentions DP. Keep in mind I won't be doing this till late spring/summer.

This winter will be about the suspension, sway bars, and a proper brake kit. Maybe get the valve body and torque converter done by Level 10.

Re: ?'s about eurocode GT71R elim package

you will need a turbo inlet pipe too, the neuspeed extreme fits the best along with the ATP 2.5" velocity adapter. Because the turbo outlet sits 2 inches further forward in the engine bay, the TIP is to short, Eurocode has a extension hose for the neuspeed extreme TIP

Yeah, I forgot to include that in the last post. Will the GTRS velocity adapter fit the GT71R as well?

yes, essentially the turbos are the same, however the 71R option has a larger compressor wheel wit a different blade pitch.

I got 440cc but I read in a few threads that genesis 550cc with adaptors is the way to go. Going for the ER comp also in black, just need a few more $$$.

Different spray patterns. Genesis have a dual cone type spray pattern, soo it gives a smoother idle.

There is a file for the 440's or the 550's. You need to specify when you get flashed

No they still have the 440 file, you have to ask for it. They just give out the 550 file as default

well yeah, I know they didnt' just delete the files haha.. I worded it wrong. As you put it, you do get the 550 as default, which means you don't have to specify when you get flashed.

Go with the 550's they apparantly flow better and give you more room up top for safety. Although Greg may say that it doesnt matter because he has been running 440's

The factory harness has different connections than the injectors so the adapters are necessary if you go with Genesis injectors.

I just ordered this package with the 550cc, I cant wait to get it in. Quick question, i didn't order the sps but still got the mbc. Should i run the stock n75v since i don't have the sps unit and it going to be on a conservative tune or should i still run the mbc to control the boost? Also how do you tweak it to how you want it?

I would run the N75 for now. See if you can find an SPS3 in the classifieds or just borrow one locally.

Sorry to bring an old thread back up... But I'm thinking of going BT this summer using e-codes GT71R/GTRS kit (haven't decided yet) and been wondering if they'll just swap the 440's for 550's just like that? No extra cost for it? Nor for the diffrent file?

And also, as I live in Sweden/europe, with 98 octane (euro RON), will this flash work without an select plus?

The price of the 550cc injectors is more and they no longer offer the kit with the 440cc injectors. So expect the price to be a bit more.

You should be able to run a standard 93 octane tune on your 98RON since its equal to 94 octane.

The price of the 550cc injectors is more and they no longer offer the kit with the 440cc injectors. So expect the price to be a bit more.

You should be able to run a standard 93 octane tune on your 98RON since its equal to 94 octane.
So I would benefit from a select plus so I can tune the timing some more for the better fuel quality?

I actually talked to Eurocode about this not long ago. There are a few people that are already running the new REVO file.
Is this file only in some kind of testing stage??? Earlier in this theard the dudes spoke of it being the default file!?

It has gotten to the point where the more i read, the more confused i get.. It's a whole lot of new knowledge to hammer in (I'm a computer geek that is experimenting with my beloved A4 to get a change of hobby ;))
