First of all, I'm pretty terrible with cars but I'm starting to get into working on mine :). When I drive my car through hills and hit the brakes, the car begins to shake. I was going to take this problem to the dealer but seems like I would get screwed by reading other people's posts. I assume I just need new pads but could this be any other problem? This usually happens when I hit the brakes >70 or so.

Yeah, I'm guessing rotors. If you have the slightest of unevenness in the rotor, it will cause the car to become "shaky" when slowing down. Also, might want to check balance/alignment of wheels and tires.

yeah, i haven't changed the pads since i got the car but it's never really been a problem. I had my rotors resurfaced a little over a year ago...guess they didn't do a good job. Thanks for the responses
