WTC I went over 140mph months back stock but .............

I replied on a thread about my max speed on the A4 being over 140. I recently was in a safe toll highway and tried once again and could not get the littwle litwle K03 to go any faster than 130??? what the hell gives? Maybe the car was giving it its all when it knew it was racing a brand new Si . Since then my shoes are 19's and im running a both DP and TP. not chipped yet (I dont know why) . What could be the deal?


PS: 0 boost leaks and I may need to change my fuel filter.

Any thought ? thanks

I thought the ecu cut out the fuel at around 130

i've had my K04 to 140, and it was seriously at the edge of what it could possibly muster up. small turbos run out of breath.
is the limiter changed after being chipped? i know the OP isn't but i was running APR stage 2 at the time.

During my frequent spirited runs against other spirited drivers. My car would make its way up to 160 fairly quickly. Unfortunately by then I'd be wayyyy ahead and therefore had no need to stretch the legs out anymore. Hopefully by the time my car is all said and tuned, it will go 140 in the quarter. Hopes and dreams.

Apparently nothing! It will probably run slower than my A6. WTC=World Trader Center, last time I checked...

yes...i was racing for 2 days straight..had to get refueled by jet to keep it going...and after all 48 hours...i hit 140...hoooray for me

I had my K04-15 powered car up to 159.5 mph on the GPS. To bad I never tried my special MTM K04 in a high speed test.

i did 140 in my car right when i got it driving back from h-town that was the only time i ever hit 140 though. I tried once or twice more down a back strecth of desolate road and manage 134 stock as a bone

Stock 04 B6 1.8T, I topped it out about 3 weeks ago as well, and my speedo wouldn't pass 134. It felt like that was where it was limited, because I would see my Tach dip very slightly, then climb back up, then dip again.

I don't know a whole lot, thats just what happened when I did mine

Bigger wheels= More weight (usually), more mass to rotate, and weight is pushed further out (away from hub) so it makes it tougher to rotate it.

two months ago i hit 115 on the ass of a turbo bettle going up a slight hill it smelt like burnt toast so i passed him 125 and today i went 100 + with another turbo bettle for like 45 min i could have cooked a steak on my glowing hot turbo
