I love black on the USPs, I wish I could've found one in black (mine's silver). Your's looks great! The only thing I'd do is black out the chrome trim around the grills....just my opinion though.

Beg to differ... I've done it and it is quite possible my favorite mod. Especially if you live in a more suburban/rural type area. The visibility changes drastically(for the better obviously). As far as glare goes, if you mean for the driver, I've had no issues whatsoever with visibility in the rain, it's only made it better. If you mean for other drivers, I've had friends of mine drive my car while I drove in front or from the opposite side of traffic and while granted it is going to be brighter, it is not that bothersome. It creates no where near the amount of glare as HIDs in a halogen housing create. Also if used strictly for what they are made for, meaning when visibility is poor due to lack of light, or fog, I don't think you could really go wrong with them.

To the OP, car looks very clean, me likey. Joey mod looks great .

I don't mean to thread jack, but, if I were to order some XenonMatch Fogs from Hoen, would I get H11's?

    Re: 1st pics on AZ...

Theres tons of kits out there to buy. You dont have to replace the whole housing. The kit includes the bulbs which go into the existing housing and ballasts(HID's have a special unit which is basically their starter). Many people on here get the VVME kit off ebay. My kit was actually a present, it was the Apexcone kit. If you do a search for HID fogs there are tons of threads covering this topic. Good luck and let me know if theres anything you need help with.

You could not be more wrong. HIDs are useless in actual fog or heavy rain/snow. Jesus, go learn how real fog lights work. You need LESS light, rather than MORE, less light and less intensity so the snow/rain/fog particles don't reflect it back towards the drive. HID lighting is excessively intensive and doesn't penetrate adverse weather, it glares everywhere.

And your anecdotal evidence of no glare is laughable. I love the "my friend/uncle" arguments that always contradict the facts, like the whole science behind how lights work. Facts > your friends/uncle's opinion. Even without HIDs, fogs glare when the surface is icy or wet, which is the reason why every car that has fogs has a switch to turn them off, even in Canada, where they are used as DRL's (our A4s). Turn on the low beams, the fogs go off.

Educate yourself: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...fog_lamps.html (last paragraph especially)

    So, to recap:

    1. HIDs are the worst type of lighting for fog lights.
    2. All fogs glare under certain situations.
    3. HIDs make the glare much worse, due to the increased intensity & light output.

HID lighting is excessively intensive and doesn't penetrate adverse weather, it glares everywhere.

I'm on the "wet-coast" A.K.A. Vancouver. I've never owned a silver car, but I'm growing to like it more and more because it doesn't look so dirty after a few rain showers.
