Anyone having a hard time getting premium

I am down here in Atlanta and we are having one hell of a time getting gas in general. I had to fill with 87 today till the station shut the pumps down because the station was out of gas! I found one random station where I was able to fill the rest of the tank with premium. Anyone else having to come up with creative ways to get gas? I was even going to run paint thinner(114 oct) to help offset the 87 grade.

shit there is always premium here. Some dumbass on the news drove to four stations to get regular! I'm sure he saved a lot

The proper name that you can fill up with it something begining with "X"...I forget the full name...but yea that junk works.....running it all the time might eat the seals away.

As for gas, there is no scarcity was-so-ever around here.....about $4 for 93

Paint thinner is OK o use. Acetone(sp?) is the stuff that you can use but only in small portions. Paint thinner is ok. 1 gallon wont do anything.

Xylene is the name of it. It'll work as far as boosting the octane but it'll eat away at any rubber.

Tolulene...not xylene. 3 gallons in a tank (13 gallons) of 87 will do the trick just fine (will equal 92 octane)

I use Torco and never have a problem. 350cc per tank boosts me from 90 (highest available in alaska) to 93.

Most if not all of the refineries in SE Texas are still down(mine) or are still in progress of coming up from being shut down for Ike. Our refinery takes 2.5 weeks to come back up after a complete shutdown.

I can imagine that has something to do with it...

i thought i was the only one that had that problem... i had to run 93 or better with my old turbo civic and would constantly have to yell at the full service crackhead employees... they would hit 87 every time, so i drive a little farther now to pump my own fuel in the a4

I never understood that law my self, i live in Washington, but every time i go down to Oregon I forget and get yelled at by some gas guy thats all bent out of shape for touching his pump, seems dumb to me, its my car

seriously now the big ass texaco (aka chevron) in buckhead has had all 3 grades. its right next to piedmont hospital/ted's montana.
$4.44 a gallon price to pay living in the city for 93 but you could drive out to marietta and find no gas just as well.

try harder man.

I was driving around the Kennesaw/Acworth area with little to no luck at all. I was rather frustrating. I was just over in Decatur and they seemed to have more gas stations with fuel.
