well my rear deck lid faded so i went to the fabric store "custom fab store" today bought some 8$ cheap mod in a bag went home and installed it

    haters welcome

    BEFORE

    AFTER

also im going to change the wood trim because it looks like crap, but not like this , this is just my 2$ example

i know the front corner is jank its ok its not going to be actually on my car at least for long

i need ideas of what to do with my woodtrim though i was thinking paint black, then dumped the idea, then cover it in suede with the rear deck, nope couldn't find suede at local fab stores , so i went with the vw's and said hey plad might work but can't find any black and red plad so if you have ideas shoot em too me the pieces will stay off untill i think of what goes on it.

I did the plaid thing, it will work for now, i always get compliments from it when people see it in person, even won a trophy at a show for it, its not for everyone but it was a fun little project that cost me a whole $35 to do. Eventualy i plan to pick up another set of trim pieces that will be smoothed out and color matched to the outside of the car.

Thats awesome! i go tthe same color (santorin) car , therefore that gave me a pretty good idea!...im goin for it...just gotta figure out which camo.

The blue in your pic would have to be a little darker, but im more than likely leaning towards urban or digi-urban

not too hard taking the middle piece out was the biggest bitch because the clips are diffrent than in the doors .. dunno why but they are much harder too work with

no not at all i could do this faster than it takes to type it up, first pull up on the rear seats where your knees would be bent if you were sitting in the seat pull up three clips pull forward then you well expose wiring and two bolts holind the belts in place , take them out then fold the seats down, just pull up on the middle four push clips will pop along the edge, then put your arm down the middle of the rear deck twords the third brake light so you don't puncture the rear speakers with the slide holders in the rear, pull the rear deck off, unhook the rear brake light , put the rear deck lid on the folded down rear seats and turn your focus on the belts theres too push in clips on the assembly push them up pop out the assembly, put the whole assembly through the hole then remove the rear deck lid. it sounds harder than it was to type ... good luck , don't puncture your stock speakers putting it back in like i did, thats why i have after market ones , good thing it was blown before i fucked it up

Maybe with the new pixelated camo but even then it seems like a redneck thing. And I grew up redneck so no offense to my brethren.

Pull the door panels off and the trim is held in by 3-4 clips.
The dash piece is another story though.

Nice mod. I did a similar deal with mine as it was faded all to hell as well.

    Before:

    After:

It matches the stock trunk carpet like 99% and it was $19 for 5 yards.

I had the doors apart, recovered and put back together in about 2 hours. They are easy to do. The dash however takes a little longer becaus of everytihing you have to tear apart and for some reason they used a different clip wich is a bitch to get off, i found that using a two pronged trim pulling tool was the easyest to use, you just put it inbetween the clip and the trim and pry and hope it dosent break. The tabs are pretty strong, i didnt break any of them. I would say the dash pieces took me around 4 hours to do, knowing how to do it now i think i could get it done in around 2.

    Re: Interior fun

I ripped a buddies center piece out so he could wrap it in a flat black to finish blacking his interior and the only clips that were a bitch were the ones to the left and right of the steering column, along with the one right above the radio, we didnt stick that one back on.

it helps if you get a small trim panel removing tool from autozone. not the huge metal one, but the smaller one that has like a small crows foot on 1 end and has a red handle. makes life much easier!

    Nope, thats the easiest piece!
Just get a credit card, and stick it under the front of it(near hte ebrake), and just wedge it under there and lift up hard. It takes some force but just make sure not to break anything,.

Just get a credit card, and stick it under the front of it(near hte ebrake), and just wedge it under there and lift up hard. It takes some force but just make sure not to break anything,.
    thanks!
btw is there any clip that holds the piece?
and how should i remove the shift knob coz i guess the piece wont go through unless i remove also the knob, right?

    thanks again!
