- Boser story / teaser... UPDATE!!! Oetty on, Boser tomoro!

Sooo i started working on my front... ordered oetty replica front, caractere replica grill, ecode replica headlights that even have city-lights, and finally ordered boser hood from eurogear...

so im waiting waiting... they were out of stock, so they had to make one for me.... 3 weeks later i recieve the hood... happily opened the box, started unwrappin... aaaaaaaaaand bam..





was very pissed, contacted eurogear... i thought i'd get partial reimburcement, but they said that they cant do that since its a shipping company's fault.... its obvious they dropped it.. So eurogear said they filed a claim, and it can take up to 60 days to go through and then the hood will go to the shipping company and they would have to make a new one for me... another 3 weeks...............

so i figured fak it, ill try to fix it.. so i went to my friend who does all the bodywork for me, and he said he could fix it... a week later here's what we did.... he did the carbon fiber fix, and i sanded and taped out the hood the way i want it painted...






will be painted today, and should be on tonight or tomoro morning... along with headlights, grill, and the bumper.... cant wat

aaaaand here's the oetty..



gonna paint it all same time.... Sideskirts have been painted already, but fish-eyed like hell, so we gonna repaint em...

akaEsCo01, im running oetty sideskirts as well... and having hard time with those clip-on thingies for the hoist, they fit like crap.. :(

BNZ TOY, i got it from euro-spec... i believe it was the last kit they had.. I only bought front bumper and sideskirs, rear bumper is still there i think...

i hope my front fits well too, i also have seen some good fitments and really horrible ones..... i know for a fact i will have to trim the sh*t outta my rebar though.. :(

UPDATE!!! Just painted the hood... came out great.... couple fish-eyes, little bit of dirt, but im gonna wet-sand it and wheel it and my boser will be spotless..... here ya go guys, fresh pics as promised >>>

ya when I got my hood from eurogear, the same thing happened to me. It was cracked on both sides approximately where yours was but I just dealed with it and did what you did. Just gotta deal with it i guess...see how i did it?



originally i wanted the carbon fiber to go all the way down but due to the cracks i had to cut it short. oh well

same here, I have about 2 inches gap between grill and sides.. but it's cool cause I wanted that in the beginning.. kinda creates 3D efffect or something.. beautiful A4 u got man

You guys are the 4th and 5th people that I have seen have trouble with EuroGear hoods. Something needs to be done about the packaging of their product. If several people have had problems, it is not always the shipping companys fault. I think you guys are being forced to compromise and thats just bullshit. Eurogear

i hope my front fits well too, i also have seen some good fitments and really horrible ones..... i know for a fact i will have to trim the sh*t outta my rebar though.. :(

Trimming your rebar is not going to fix the problem, all you can do is shorten the ends and drill new holes for your horns so that they will fit. The bumper was designed for a european audi which has a different rebar. If you remove the rebar the bumper will line up just fine, however I do not recommend this as it a safety hazard in the instance of a front end collision. If you leave the stock rebar on like I did you will have a 1/4 inch gap from bumper length to fender length. I would suggest getting a european rebar if you want perfect fitment but I have looked for one for nearly a year and can not find one.

stop spending money on ur A4's and upgrade ur monitors peopleeee!!.... the middle is carbon fiber, but clearcoated to eliminate the paint-line... so its a bit shinier, actually looks better that way, especially when the sun falls on it :)

A4TUNE, the headlights i got off of ebay, they were a little over 200$... i will post pics of my front finished on saturday/sunday... ill make a new thread, so look for it.. They are nice as hell, i just gotta install them and see how the output is and is there gonna be any fogging issues... ill let u guys know

and thanks for good words, ive spent quite a bit of time trying to make this hood look good... repair, paint, etc.... glad to hear compliments after puttin effort into something :)

Damn, the hood is looking good. going silver to carbon is a little drastic for my taste but the black to carbon is so subtle yet looks sick. hell, it's so subtle some people think you painted the whole hood black. lol, I can see the difference looking at the pics from my treo.

I barely see it now. Dual agnate 20.1 inch "Apple Cinema Displays" at 32-bit. Maybe if the image taken with the Casio EX-Z77 was a bit bigger than 640x480 or I was running 800x600, it would stick out more.

oh and my rebar is in my bedroom.. selling it :) hahahha... shit was tooooo big for the bumper..

headlights - got off ebay, a while back.. there's one seller who still sells them, search for "A4 headlights".. output is nice, cut-off is decent, looks - amazing.. turning heads now...

will update with boser on monday or tuesday, stand by ;)

Was your oetty original or copy?
I thought i read copy in the thread...
I got mine from oettinger and the front fit like a glove.
