VAGCOM port AWOL? Does running a piggyback system like my SDS kill it?

I have the Q to the PO and the shop who did most of the work, but thought I would hit up the collective genius here.

It's not under the dash nor behind the armrest. The hole is there, but no data cable connector. I could remove the lower dash panel to check, but if it is rendered useless, then that's that!

there is a clip that holds it in. Sometimes if someone pushes too hard then it will pop back into the knee bolster.

remove the knee bolster, im sure its there.

Thanks everyone, some things came up that kept me from more playtime tonight (just borrowed a friends vag com system), I'll pop it open tomorrow and see where that thing is hiding.

if you dont want to pop off the whole knee bolster, just open the side where the fuses are and see if you can see anything.

Thanks guys, pulled the fuse panel, couldn't see anything... dropped the bolster, it was tucked in the back. Pulled it out, put the bolster back, done!

There sure is a lot of that fuzzy carpet stuff in there!! I am assuming it is fire proofing or at least fireproof with the power block and fuses... seems so strange to me.

Now I have to figure out how to use zee Vag Com :)
