i just used a small (10mm.. I think) wrench for mine. No modifications. You just need some patience. I can take the atp mani off and put it back on in 15 minutes with it.

Maybe the new version is easier to work with but the old one is a pain.

i have the new one and it was pretty hard to get to.
i had to fab up a wrench with a 90* angle.

If you have a vise, vise grips, and a propane torch you can fab yourself up one in 2 minutes. Just go buy the crappiest wrench you can find. The crappier the better as the metal will heat up and bend easier. Forged tools tend to snap when heating and bending unless you get it SUPER hot. I try to find any cheap wrench that is not forged.
