well, fuck the video for now, youtube is still processing it.

Either way, how many bottles of g12 does it take to fill a completely drained system? I have already put 2 in (from ecs) and its still low in the reservoir

Should I be adding any amount of water to the system?

Btw it was full earlier today, now it's almost empty in the reservoir, no puddles under my car.. wtf (cranked 20 times for 10 seconds after my gtrs install)

    Re: video and coolant Q:

I just bought a gallon of coolant from the Audi dealership and they said it should be a 50/50 mix.

70% distilled water, 30% G12 coolant FTW. Audi will ALWAYS tell you to run 50/50. As I've said dozens of times here, water has better cooling properties over coolant (thus cooler running engine) and 30% G12 will NOT freeze in the winter. In the summer you only need enough G12 to lubricate the seals. 10% G12 can do that. I run 70% water, 25% G12 and 5% purple ice all year round.

I'm assuming then you are the guy that wrote that write up on Audi geeks.

Quick question, how do you mix it? lol

put all the ingredients in one container and shake or stir I just eye ball it or use a container with milliliter labeling on it, doesn't need to be "exact"

Ah, didn't think it would be that simple. So just dump my gallon 'o' coolant in a bucket, and then dump the amount of distilled water that would be the equivalent of 30%? Seems like it would be more exact, like with oil you know how much total fluid is going in the car....with coolant not so much?

    Re: video and coolant Q:

I just keep the left overs I mixed for a later date... You prolly don't need a gallon of G12 if you are using 70% distilled water. Do a smaller container like one for coolaid and just keep mixing/refilling it until you get up to the max line.

I edited that thread on Audigeeks as it was a bit "off" when I read it today...

So basically, you are putting about a gallon of total fluid which is comprised of whatever mixture of g12/water you prefer, gotcha. Probably the easiest way is to just buy a jug of distilled water and dump out whatever amount of fluid you would want to be g12 and then fill it with coolant back up to the top. Thanks brah.

    Re: video and coolant Q:

If you are doing 70/30 then buy 3-4 gallons of distilled water and a gallon of g12. You should have at least a half gallon of pure g12 unmixed when you are done. I run 50/50 and I flushed and refilled with one gallon of g12 and the rest was distilled water.
