    New To Audi

    Hey Guys,

I'm new to the group and this is my first Audi. It's a 2006 1.8A Cab and haven't done much with it except the wheels. I know there are ton of things you can do with the hard tops but does anyone where I can find parts and ideas for the Cabs?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome.

You have a B6 though, not a B7. It looks really good though.

    Re: New To Audi

    Welcome!

For your mods, what do you want to accomplish? Full race build or a comfortable daily driver that has extra power but reliability and decent mileage?

One thing you can do is research some of the people on our forum and see what they've done. Some B6 candidates include (not limited to though, reaching from my grey matter here): JetJockey, MikTip, COAVANT, Tgr_Clw, rxrep, Avanteix, 400HPA4, Winston@podi. ca, Capt. Obvious, dougyfresh...

    Basic essentials include:

    -- Suspension: Coilovers, Anti-sway bars
-- Brakes: (you don't need a BBK) B5S4 swap, tyres!
-- Show: (nice wheels!) Front/rear bumpers, side skirts, S4 mirrors... etc
-- Go: Exhaust, diverter valve, intercooler, turbo+injectors, chip tune, boost hoses, intake manifold... etc

If you're looking for a compromise between daily driver but weekend Interstate/Turnpike warrior, I'd try an OEM+ set up:
    -- Vogtland coils, H-Sport RS4 sways
-- B5S4 brakes + Hawk HPS pads + SS lines + Motul 5.1 fluid + best tyres you can afford
-- Borla exhaust, Forge/Samco DV + hoses, ER Sport FMIC, K04+TT225 inj, 034 TP + motor, snub and tranny mounts
-- Podi+VEI gauge set up, RNS-E (if you don't have already) + iPod adapter, JHM short shifter, e-codes and a USP front + DTM rear with S4 mirrors.

JMO though (did I glaringly omit something, anyone?).

Check out this thread for some great reading to get you up to speed on some of the nuances with our cars. I posted it for a newcomer in Cali, you should find it enlightening.

    Clicky click.

    Cheers!
