Down grading, why would you want to increase your IAT?

I have had mine on my car since 34k miles and im at 47K now the turbo had 8k miles on it when i bought it. so i should have to replace it now.
This is the one of the issues with these boards, that people only post when bad stuff happens, or they spend a bunch of money and want to show off their car a bit.
The garrett center housing is much more robust than the k04/k03 center housing the ball bearing turbos are designed for longer service life than journal bearings.
bottom line if you expect a car to produce twice power and remain factory like in service issues your wrong. If you take the time and increase your oil change intervals, and monitor the engine for leaks(boost, oil, coolant) you will have a fairly reliable powerful car.
just my 2cents
Exactly. Plus I dont see why anyone would take it as the norm when its about 1-2% of all the elims sold that might have failed. It isn't like those are all of the elims ever produced seeing that ATP is always having problems keeping up with the orders since they sell so well.
Just a little hard to beat when you can buy a 300-400chp setup that includes the turbo hardware, tuning and injectors for around $2600.
