tried something new with the bumper today... not entirely sure I like it - mostly because of the sides, but partly because of how low it is now. anyway, I'll let you guys have your way with it...

reminds me of those mk3 euro lips that end up being way too low to the ground. imho, i think your avant looks beautiful the way it is.

Re: you got something on your chin

What is that? I'm not sure I like it. If you keep it you definatley need to get some side skirts to match it because it sits way too low compared to the sides. The front doesn't look like it matches up with the bumper, kind of like it's too small for that bumper. I'm going to say na to that. I have been contemplating the cupra r splitter ever since I saw AudiRacer with it on, it looks sweet on his car.

The car looks clean though I like what you have done!

If I saw you driving down the road I really wouldn't think anything of it. Although it does remind me of the movie "Cars."

No shit. What happened to that badass setup you had for the brake ducting? I believe that is a mkII or I duckbill spoiler.

Re: you got something on your chin

thanks for the feedback guys - it's appreciated. decided I wanted to see if I can make it work, so I did a little trimming - here's the latest. It's growing me, and I def. don't hate it. Might run with it for bit and see how I feel about in later on.

yeah, but that thing was only for the track - it was fiberglass and wouldn't yield if it hit something - and it was much lower, prob only 2" off the ground.

Re: you got something on your chin

def. happier with the trimmed version. now I just gotta be a bit more careful here on the city streets. I think it sits just about as low as my DTS and sway bar, so I should be ok - just have to avoid any steep angles since it's so far forward.

no, it's not the duckbill - I got this a few years back at H2o for $50'ish I believe (I had intended on doing this mod way back then). I believe its just a standard Golf/GTI chin spoiler, nothing too special - which is why it was cheap. Most of the hard to find/Euro stuff it up on the $100-200 range, so this must be a pretty common one.

yeah, I agree - one of these days I either make or buy some sides, but for now it'll have to do. I was just tired of my bumper's profile and how it swept upward at the front. I wanted to level it out.

thanks again for the feedback guys
