    anyone running this style exhaust?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
anyone running something similar to how the 350z/G35 guys do it? I gues it could be called dual fart cans.
I've seen a few BMW 335's running dual fart cans (that sounded good) and i thought that that style looks really good a nice car, which made me think it would look good on a A4.

Anyone have pics of this on an A4 and or a sound clip?

    pics for reference:

Re: anyone running this style exhaust?

It's only fart cans if it sounds that way. To me, the style of your muffler doesn't matter, as long as you get the sound you want. It's just that normally the round mufflers have less baffles than the oval ones, so that's what makes them sound like big ol' wet farts.

I consider any muffler with an output twice the size of the input a fart can. I'm not a fan of the look.
Upgraded the motor a little, brakes a little more, and suspension a lot.

    rice.

looks are subjective but that would look really stupid on a 4 door euro sedan. plus, the 1.8T is going to sound aweful with those mufflers. it will basically sound like a civic with a 'fart can'.

Re: anyone running this style exhaust?

Well the look wouldn't matter cause the ass-ends of our "4-door sedans" don't taper upwards to expose the type of mufflers are in use. All you see are the tips.

Now if you get an aftermarket rear bumper that follows suit of that tapered look, (I can’t think of any right now) then you'll have something to worry about I guess.

I actually have a 3.0L, so thought it might end up sounding good, and i like the look of the 2 shinny round mufflers sitting on an angle..

I found this. Looks like it might be round mufflers, but its hard to tell, and i think its a 1.8T

I don't like the look of canister style mufflers in general, on the right car with duals these can look ok, I don't mind how it looks on those 350 Z's, but on an A4 I think it would look really gawdy, or like mentioned it would not matter because they would be hidden from view anyway.

Well, that guy has a V8 S4, you can put a fart can, belch can, or queef can and it would still sound good.
I like the look but you have to be selective with those on a 4 cylinder car. I would love to hear it if someones running a canister style exhaust.

That S4 would sound badass with ricer cans, coffee cans, or just nothing. Cylinders really make a huge difference...even 4 to 6.

I had dual fart cans on my 3.0, sounded terrible. I did remove the factory resonator also though, may've sounded better with it. These 3.0s aren't very good sounding motors though, takes alot to make them sound good, they're not like VR6 where anything you put on them still sounds good.

alright, i was finally up to doing a little amateur sound clip for you all interested.
the sound isnt 100% accurate cause i used a laptop, but u get the idea.

on the stand still rev i had the record level way too high, so it made it very pitched and distorted. sorry.
