newby to a 2002 s4

I just purchase a 2002 s4 with 75k for 10k everything stock and was wondering if i can get some help and instructions on a couple upgrades i have in mind....
1.how to make a darintake??
2.how to gut and make piggie pipes??
3.where to chip and tune my s4 in Los Ageles if they are any locals here??
4.around how much will i be spending??(to start saving up)

1.how to make a darintake??
You dremel the bottom of the airbox. 45 mins tops.
2.how to gut and make piggie pipes??
You take off the downpipe, open it up around the elbow (hacksaw) take a drill and drill all the CAT out, reweld and re-install.
3.where to chip and tune my s4 in Los Ageles if they are any locals here??

dude.. i know everything looks daunting at first glance.. and you don't know where to start... but seriously do some legwork... it gets easier to manage and that way you'll learn a lot ... stuff that you don't need to know maybe ... but at least you'll have a much better understanding of the S... so when other shit does happen.. you know what happened.

when i first logged on to Azine, i personally sifted through the forum pages.. for days.. just for background information ... and yes like everyone else says.. the search button is golden.. =)

do timing belt and stuff if it hasn't been done yet. I joined in december I think and I have learned tons when I knew absolutely nothing about these cars. Chip and exhaust are the 2 favs for the first real mods.

Why? I had piggies WAY before exhaust. Performance > Just Sound. Plus with piggies I would pop and crackle when I aggressively shifted, and it gave it a more badass sound while still being basically stock.

Are you saying an exhaust doesnt give you performance ? And my UUC sounds way better then ur piggie pipes.

With 75k miles, and a price of 10k, I'd bet money that it is a Silver Tip non-sport package......with a boost leak! Easily remedied though.

Don't add a single HP to the car until you've done ALL of the maintenance work and ensured it is in good running order. That could save you a lot of money in the long run and it will familiarize you with the car.
