    What should I do?

ok so i currently have a 98 A4 1.8T with chip, exhaust, lowered, rims, etc etc. the only problem is that its FWD .

i love the car and have it pretty much how i want it except for i'd like more power. but is it worth it to dump money into a BT with it being FWD?

i was thinking of selling it and getting an b5 s4 but have been reading about how unreliable they can be. or i could find a stock b5 a4 with quattro and swap over the parts then go BT...

    what should i do?

    Re: What should I do?

In italy i checked with the dealership they can convert any a4/a6 fwd to awd but they asking for 3950e in Greece audi can't do that but some mechanics are able to convert ur car for 3000e (if u buy alone the materials u will be able to find a better price)
If u go BT on the Fwd ur tires will spin all the time :P it's a nice feeling :D like ur driving a typer :D
Anyway if u can afford an S4 go for it, u will pick a nice clean one and u will be ready to go :)

    Re: What should I do?

You live in California. Nothing wrong with the FWD. I assume the good variable for quattro in regions where it does not snow is greater torque. Us people whom live in regions where it snows appreciate the quattro. Me coming from a honda appreciate it. FWD is supposed to put down more power, as to my understanding (but could be wrong). I just decided yesterday that I want to go bt, so I am starting my search and seeing what I am going to go with. I say if the car is reliable, then go bt if you want more power.

    Re: What should I do?

^ Yeah FWD does put down more power to the wheels but without proper traction those wheels will spin. HP loss in FWD is about 15% while Quattro is 22%.
