Folied door handle mod for Avants

I was planning on doing DeepHouse's no-key driver's door mod, but it appears that one of the '04.5 revisions was taking the keyhole out of the rear hatch handle, which would make that mod a bit risky. That is, I have no key hole in the rear hatch handle of my 04.5 1.8t Avant. Boo. That or I'm stupid and don't see it.

Any 2002-2004 Avant owners want to buy a door handle to do this mod? It is currently painted silver.

I had this done to my A4...only thing you should consider is that you depending on MY you may need that door to program keyless entry in the case of dead key fob battery...and also you need to be sure you can get in the car if the battery dies. Believe me it looks good, but has its problems!

Mark, Man sorry to hear that... i should add that to the Write up. Are you sure ther'es no keyhole?? directly under neath, like...right where the license plate light is.

Its all a trick from deephouse to get all of us locked out of our cars......:)

LOL.... I know i specified in my writeup that it was NOT the type of mod for sedan owners and most people look it over because of that.

Didn't know there was a caveat to our Avants as well.

I will snap a pic Mark, i just find that hard to believe they took that out on your year.... =(
