1990 90q 2.6 20v

Hello All,


This is my 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 2.6 stroker build. I purchased this 90q 2.3 20v with a buddy to fix and flip.... ended up just buying him out to build the car for myself. [wrench]

I wanted todo a short deck 20v stroker, very little info is out there but is doable. Had to-do some block craving to clear the rods and do some piston massaging due to old vs newer valve offsets.

The other weekend I pulled the whole rear end to refurb. New wheel bearings, axles, etc. Found what I believe is the last set of reman G60 calipers in the county. All new pads and rotors on the way. Ditching the oem mesh 14's wheels and swooped up a set of cheap knock off mesh 15x8's 4x108 and 4x100 to share with my mk2 Jetta.

I have been eyeballing the Verkline subframes...

Great info on what's needed to build this. Makes me want to sell my spare AAN and just build the 7A I have in my CQ. Thanks for sharing!

I do plan on building a 2nd 7a into a 2.6. The 2nd time around I plan on different pistons I would prefer not to carve them up as much as I did.

A 92.8mm crank would be dang near drop in with these tsi rods and pistons. That gets you 2480cc.
