Hey guys,
I want to do my own Haldex service, but can’t seem to find the right service kit for my 2018 S7 Prestige. Went to two dealers today and they could not help me…and I cannot find anything online either. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Drew

That is because you don't have Haldex.

Thanks- I suppose that would splain it then. Is it Torsen then? Obviously still a lot to learn about this car!

You have Quattro with a crown gear center differential.
Can apply power up to 85% rear and up to 70% front.

Torsen differential fluid service is probably the last thing you need to worry about changing on a 4 year old car.. you're better off putting that time and money towards a DSG service

Yes, you have Torsen. As said above, pay attention to the DSG and keep up on its service. Also, determine if you have a sport diff, and if so, ensure that is maintained correctly as well. Torsen itself is pretty bulletproof.

Thanks guys - appreciate this info. I just had the DSG service done at 35k miles. Nice to know that I don’t need to worry about a separate Haldex fluid change. I’m learning something new every day, thanks to this great forum!

Pretty sure it's crown gear and not Torsen seeing as his car is 2018. From my understanding.. early C7 models were Torsen.
Can anybody confirm?

*checks notes*
I think you are correct, it is likely a crown gear. Crown gear appears to have come out much earlier than I recalled. You can confirm by checking the rear output shaft on your transmission. Typically...
Torsen has a flange...
293409
Crown gear has a shaft...
293410

Great info! Will take a gander next time it’s on the lift!
