View Full Version : Vibration when turning to the left & decelerating

Just curious if this issue sounds familiar to anyone.

I have a vibration that only occurs when my car is on a left hand turn (between 1/2 to a full turn) and decelerating. I feel it if the car is engine breaking, and even more so when I apply the brakes. As soon as I give it gas, it goes away.

Occasionally I feel it when changing lanes.

Once, I felt it for about a second when starting the car (car was warm).

I never feel it going straight or in a turn to the right.

The sound reminds me of wheel hop mixed with rubbing.

This started about 4 days ago out of nowhere.

Has anyone experienced this?

Could it be a wheel bearing?

It does sound like a wheel bearing. I had to replace my front passenger's a while back.

Checked my wheel bearings. No play at all

I had a chunk of road grit build up in my rims from freeze thaw conditions, had to physically scrub it off. It behaved exactly like this, car was undrivable at highway speed.

When I'm going in a straight line I have zero issues. Only at low speed in a left turn while decelerating.

I say lower control arms

I say lower control armsI highly doubt it I'm pretty sure this is the c7 owners guy and he's done a video on using density line control arms so unless they're already worn out no way

Figured it out.

Part of my mid muffler was rubbing a heat shield underneath when I got into a hard left turn.

We adjusted everything & the vibration is gone.
