CV Boot, received a different axle bolt do I torque it differently?

Hope someone is here to see these questions, wanted to do this today. Called audi dealership but they are closed so guess I sit on my hands till someone replies.

Replacing CV boots 2000 Audi S6, just got the front CV boots from rock auto

the axle bolts have a different head than whats on the car, the car has the allen type head and the ones on this kit are a hex 1 1/16. I assume they are the same thing only with a different head???? Also do I torque them the same???? and finally I saw a video stating that when working on an older car you should not do the full 180 degrees cause of the bearings, he said he does 90 degrees.???

Same torque but have a helper when doing the final 180 so your socket doesn't slip and you break your wrist. I prefer the Allan type to be honest.

I have done this several times on older bearings and I don't think it will wreck em. I try to get as close to 180 as possible.

Steely, should I just wait? I can go to the dealer on monday and do this next weekend. I've only got a deep socket 1 1/16. If I have to put so much torque on it maybe it can slip - is it really that tight?

I usually torque 135-180° for final.

You could always do less and let us know how it goes for you lol

I've never used the random Chinese large hex bolt that comes with CV kits and axles. I'll reuse the stock one before I use them, I don't trust them. Just replace with an oe one next chance I get.
