How long does it take for your cars cold hot needle to reach the middle position on mornings when temp is below freezing? As the mornings are getting much colder here in new jersey my daily commute which is a short 7-8 minutes (5 minutes being highway and 3 minutes being city) ive been noticing the needle sitting much lower than i remember from last winter. Last winter i remember the needle just about touching the middle mark when driving down the service road of my building and slowly pulling into my parking lot now its just above the quarter mark when i turn off the car. Could the newly installed APR CPS play a role? Thermostat? etc....

Do you have the fan/heat turned on from start-up? On my A4 the coolant temp gauge rises significantly faster if I wait to turn on the fan/heat until it's up to temp, after which point it will dip a little bit then return to normal OT. Not sure if the coolant set-up is the same.

thats a pretty vague question.... below freezing? 30 degrees or -15? are you keeping the RPMs low until the gauge moves up? the gauge to the left of the tach is your coolant temp and i've always relied more on the actual oil temp which i was able to enable with Carista to show up in the middle screen

Temperatures like 30 degrees. Yes keeping rpms low as possible until gauge moves up.
