Has anyone bought and installed the Uni Stage 3 package?
My question is around fuel delivery with this system....would you not require some sort of fueling upgrade?
Being an MT car, i know i would need a clutch...and without a doubt a cooling upgrade (ie. PLM Hx or Merc Racing Hx).
Is there anything else i'm missing?

Also looking for feedback on how owner experiences have been should anyone be able to chime in.

No fueling upgrade necessary if you are not using a bunch of e85. Unitronic tuned the cars assuming the normal fuels it was designed for like up to E10 of 91 and 93 octane in the US.

I'd keep you stock clutch as long as you can. See how it goes. You may get lucky for awhile.

Get a good heat exchanger. Doesnt have to be expensive. You can get the bar and plate Revo for a grand when its on sale or the Merc for around $450 if I recall.

Thats it. Have fun.

So far, so good. I do have an upgraded clutch and heat exchanger. I'm pretty sure I could have gone without the clutch for some time, but absolutely needed the heat exchange.

Any of you guys commenting do the upgrade from Stage 2 to 3? Was it magical?

As long as you keep iats in check these cars continue to make great power the more boost you add. Its definitely there compared to stage 2.

If you figure nothing fancy basically stock car with just a good hx on pump gas i estimate very roughly....

Stock: 104-105mph traps
Stage 1: 109-110mph traps
Stage 2: 114-115mph traps
Stage 3: 118-119mph traps

What’s amusing to me is my car in Stage 2 form on 93 at <3700 lbs only trapped 108 [emoji23][emoji23]. Then again, I was the 4th person to jump on the Uni tune and haven’t updated it since. My rev limiter is still 6500 as well :(

I keep meaning to reflash but I’ve been trying to coordinate it with a dyno rental to see what I’ve been missing.

I usually just rent the dyno for an hour at Late Model Throttle in Waukesha. That’s where all my baselines are.

Those traps are all relative. Based on conditions or fuel quality you may be subtracting 4mph from all of them. Doesnt hurt to log the car though as you can learn so much about what may be impacting your power output

I've seen even higher , 117mph stage 2+ and 120+mph stage 3 with e25 mix (done with pgear and not at a track)

What’s funny is you guys are just talking about a regular old DP tune. They dont have a stage 2, just stage 2+ which consists of a single pulley. Then you have “stage 3” which is dual pulley. It’s the same as every other tune and every other guy running dp is stage 3 technically if their pulley ratios are over 3-1

I installed the Unitronic Stage 3 two days after it was released, you can feel the difference a lot when it's cold but fter a few runs it degrade a lot, I was completely aware that I need an Intercooler.
The ECU is pulling Timing a lot in warmer temps. I am now in process to buy the Merc Racing HX with their Expansion Tank and maybe the VariMax PWM Intercooler Coolant Pump.
Next step will be Test Pipes

Unitronic Stage 3 makes the same power as the APR stage 2 Ultracharge noodle?
