VAG com wont connect

Someone provide some insight... My VAG com will not connect for me to check logs. The cable just flashes a red light. I have used it many times before and the Ross Tech program is up to date. It must be a problem with my OBD port because my GIAC handheld tune programmer doesn't recognize my tune either. I looked under the dash and pulled back the plastic as much as I could to see the wiring to the port and it all looks fine. ????

Bump and Sub'd. I had this same problem with the OBD and Vagcom, figured it was Vagcom or I was being dumb. Just went for inspection and he couldn't connect either but had the blue like.

I'm EPL stage 2 and need to see if that works. The only thing I've done recently is replace the clutch line, that means I pulled the ECM/ECU out of that damn box. Have you done anything like that?

Nope, I just went to log and noticed it wouldn't connect. Nothing has been done to the car lately.

So oddly enough disconnecting the battery for a little bit seemed to have worked. I got in through vagcom and uploaded a new EPL file today.

Good luck with yours. If I still can’t get hooked up at my inspection I’ll post that.

Need to bump this up. NH inspection machine still won't connect. I updated the EPL file and vagcom works. Anyone have any ideas? The inspection shows it's getting power but nothing.
