I have a dumb question for you guys:
If I put a down pipe and replace the center resonator with an X Pipe on my S6 2013, will that cause any problems? And will I need any tuning for that? Currently I'm EPL stage 1.
I've read that the exhaust system on this is a little bit complicated and may cause back pressure issues?

No it will be fine. No tune needed either

No issues, many have done this. Replaced front resonators with straight pipes and suitcase resonator with x-pipe

Another question, will that improve the sound a lot or not? I did x pipe and was not impressed (I don't have sport exhaust)

Muffler delete will get the sound you want.

Are you talking about Downpipes or just deleting mufflers. Downpipes are different than deleting mufflers or resonators.
Downpipes are a much bigger job and expense. Downpipes bolt up directly to the turbos

Based on experience (and what I am currently running) I would recommend the following:
Replace centre box with X-Pipe
Replace Front Resonators with straight pipe
Do these before you decide on replacing downpipes!

No drone, however the changeover from 8 cylinder to 4 is more noticeable (but only at point of change over) [drive]

The changeover from 4 to 8 is very silly sounding when you are in comfort or auto. It goes back and forth from loud to quiet based on throttle pressure.

Its pretty much a custom exhaust now (was normal) but with the mods you pretty much loose most of it when you put the X pipe etc. in.
Don't have a clip of Cylinder on Demand, will try and take one and post tomorrow.

This^^
- It sounds like two farts in quick succession, then just settles down as if nothing has changed!

Hey, were you able to get a sound clip?
I would like to hear a cold start and some revs as well if possible. Sorry if thats too much trouble, I'm just confused and trying to make my mind.

You can hear some of my clips here:

Had some car issues today, so wasn't able to take any new 8-2-4 cylinder changeovers.

Hope everything is fine with your car!
I do like the sound and might do this, but theres one thing... I don't have sport exhaust so no pops and crackles :(

I dont have sports exhaust either (but thats irrelevant, since you remove most of it as part of the mod) HOWEVER, the C7 model does not pop and crackle UNLESS you put a tune onto it.

Do you get any drone with this setup?
I know pretty much everyone says no drone with this setup, but my car drones when cruising in the 2k rpm range. It's easy to eliminate as I only need to throttle up/down a hair to slightly change rpm's and it goes away, but it is there (or maybe I'm just overly sensitive to "perceived" drone). This setup had the noise both before and after the downpipes.
I'm considering having the synapse engineering hemholtz resonators installed or, rather than hacking up my exhaust some more, just biting the bullet and going with an AWE touring setup as they have a slip connection that mates up directly with APR downpipes.
