Gang,
I've had lots of Audis; S5, S4, A8, A6, and I've never noticed the slow turning vibration like I have in my S7. Is it just a chassis thing with the C7? I'm running Pzeros, is it less with a decent tire? (Yes, I hate Pirelli)
Just looking for any insights. If there's a link someone can point to me, my searches were fruitless because I couldn't figure out how to describe the phenomenon either.

Plenty of info out there. Bottom line, it's pretty normal, harder tires can often make it more noticeable. Honestly, I'm surprised if you've not observed it in any of your previous Audis. It's caused by the Quattro system - and happens to other AWD cars as well, but for some reason seems to affect Audi's more.
Could spend days reading on the topic https://www.google.com/search?q=quattro+turning+vibration
PS. Solid color combo you decided on for your S7 :)

Thanks, I appreciate the response. It's been a while since I've had an Audi, actually. I went from an S5 to a BMW x-drive, then daily drove a 911 Turbo for a while before this... the BMW and the Porsche don't do this, and I am getting old, so perhaps it was always that way!
I wanted either white or Estoril, and the used car factory only makes so many cars to choose from! I wanted really low miles, so that made it even harder (bought this one with 15k).
Its generally referred to as "Quattro binding." Like stated above it has to do with the AWD system and the diffs. Its normal.

Understood, just seems more pronounced on this chassis, which made me ask. Maybe I'll buy new wheels and tires anyway ;)

Where are you located? If it was cool (less than45 or so) when this happened and you are still running summer tires, it can contribute. Especially when you have wide front tires.
Google "acorn effect". Having driven a 911, I thought you may know about it. At this time of the year, the acorn threads always start up on the Rennlist Porsche forums.

The 996 turbo is a more mechanical and in the front, and I never noticed it. The 997 turbo is much more electronic (my current one) and I've been driving it daily while my trim is out and not at all like my S7.
I'm in Nashville, so it's still warm here... too warm actually!
