Hey guys,

I'm at 39k on my 2013 S6 (APR tuned at 5k) - and I have had ZERO problems. I'm planning on keeping this beast for several years - just curious if anyone has experienced or heard of expensive repairs on this powertrain - tuned or not - after the warranty is over. Obviously there will be maintenance costs, and that I'm fine with. Just wondering if pushing 600+ ft lbs on the DSG has caused any issues for anyone. I realize there will always be one-offs - but from what I've seen on the forum this platform has been damn close to bulletproof so far!

How do you sell an ECU tuned car usually when you're getting a new car? Clear the tune or I guess try selling it with the tune hoping the buyer considers it a plus?

Don't sell the car through a dealer, sold my rs6 by myself. I bought the s7 with 17k miles cpo and close to 40k miles. Not a problem other than burning a little oil. I run it hard.

You sold it advertising the tune on it or did you took it off?

My EPL tune can be transferred so i would sell privately, advertise it as tuned and give the buyer the option to keep it or go back to stock (and i can sell the tune to someone else). Not disclosing it was tuned is dishonest and unethical...

I've sold several modified cars and in my experience, it has always been easier to market a car that's stock or near it. I would sell the tune before selling the car. Your target audience expands when selling a stock, or near stock vehicle.

Interesting. Are APR tunes "sellable" ?

We are the only tuner that allows the original owners of the tunes to sell the tune.

33k. Tuned since 3k. Zero issues. The problem/issue is not whether the engines can handle it. Audi engines, historically, are bulletproof to modding and the 4.0TT is no exception. The issue is if you have a problem that you may have had even if you were stock, but you get denied warranty coverage because you are tuned.

sold and advertised with the tune, the buyer brought his vagcom to check for any codes.

Sell it yourself and advertise with a tune. I've sold many cars modified. There is a market of buyers who want cars with mods already on them. Every old car on my signature list was sold online and highly modified. You make much much more money selling any car yourself online.
