Hi
I am in the market for a S6 or S7.
The S6 is equipped with the factory air suspension...
my question is...
how much control do you have over the desired height?
What is the height range?
I like to have my cars low ... so not sure if this option route is the way to go, or just get a non air suspension (S7) and put in coils.
couple of other factors...
The S6 has heads up display, and massage seats..
its a year newer, with half the millage (25000 km)..
they are both same price...
so leaning more towards the S6...
but I think the answer to the question above will be the deciding factor!

You can buy a lowering module device and tie that into the factory air suspension that will allow you to control the exact height that you are looking for. It will allow you lower it a fair amount. You will still have use of all the different drive select controls from the MMI as well. Here is an S6 we finished up today with a Cete Module from Germany.

This is comfort mode with the suspension about 8 mm higher than stock height. Same car but different wheels.
If you have any questions or would like to place an order please feel free to message me or call.

I know I know...
the one that I was looking at (S7) did not have that option.
the s6/7 is only available with air suspension, only the rs7 had the option for air suspension or dynamic package (springs/shocks)

The module is about 1100 USD, plus install which is relatively simple.

S6/S7 only come in air suspension. Best and fairly cost effective way I lowered mine is with air suspension links. It cost about $100 USD and take about 45 mins to install. You still have use of all the MMI suspension settings with lowering/raising. I also bought adjustable control arms to correct the camber and had my front fender rolled because I am sitting so low. All this is still cheaper than buying an H&R module.
This is sitting on 21's, with my stock 20's it sits slightly lower.

That's so odd..
I thought that too previously...
but I asked the sales man at Audi dealership about this particular S7 and he said it did not have it!.
I would have assumed that the sales guy would know this!
I decided to pull the trigger on the S6 .. newer.. more options, less millage.. and it will look great beside the RS4!

The sales guys often know less than the customer. I bet he had more of an incentive to push the S6.

Lol thanks. I've seen some dope S6's out there, so it's all on how you build yours. The links will adjust to go lower, but I don't do the hard parked thing, I just wanted to go as low as possible in dynamic mode running a 21x10.5 wheels without rubbing. I only drive my car in dynamic mode, so it's a bit harsh with a 30 profile, but bareable. With my stock 20's with a stock 35 profile, the tire itself is tucked, but you'll have to run some camber for it not to rub.
I had my car even lower than this before which caused the tire to rub against the air cable which then punctured my air line and caused that particular corner of the car to air out. They had to put a repair patch kit on it, so as an fyi, something to consider relocating if you go that low.
