I've never had an issue... until today. Here's my issue.

From what I've read, I need to clean or get a new sensor.

Well, looks like that was the obvious problem since the code does most of the trouble shooting for you but this has never happend before. I might take my front bumper off and take off the piping and intercooler to drain out whatever oil is in there.

There was a little bit of oil on the outer part and not sure how it got there. It wasn't loose and I'm guessing it blew out through the green seal.
http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag28/Warren_Trauth/20160809_165407_zpswwjhjcwx.jpg

You can see it's clearly covering the senor and messed with the readings.

Update: I took the front bumper and piping off to find a little bit of oil as expected. I cleaned it out and cleared the codes, haven't had an issue since doing so. Very odd for this to happen but now it's on here for anyone else.

Can anyone lead me in the direction of solving the p1627 code? Is this directly related to the hpfp??

Car is sitting in my driveway and just keeps cranking over and over but won't start.

Battery is good, fuses are good, could replace the sensors but I just pulled this code....

Sorry to hear that. Did the tensioner go? Why the fuel injection pump message?

@The Infiltrator I can't tell form your sig but are you running a catch can? When i put on my cts fmic i also installed their catch can and my MAP so far is completely dry, no residue at all. probably 8-10k miles. Conversely, when I took the factory silicon hoses off prior to install, oil came out of both sides of my stock FMIC FWIW.

Yeah believe it was the tensioner. I'm not sure why that code was thrown. Maybe as a result of no compression but the engine still cranking?

The worst part is this is my girlfriends car and that same day it broke she had bought a new car a few hours prior. We planned on taking pics and listing it that night. I would have felt bad though if someone bought it and had that happen hours later.

I do have their catch can. It's off right now since I'm doing the oil consumption process. Not sure how it got in there but there's a first for everything. Lol

I got a code a while back that I still havent been able to track down. Since this thread is here, figured I'd post it up to see if anyone has info. The code I got is not on the above lists, and despite all my searches, I have yet to find any information on it. It was a one time fault thankfully, but man, since I cant find ANYTHING related to this for B8s, maybe the AZ knowledge base can help...

I just got a 2011 A4. It has check engine light on and after scanning with a reader at OReilly, I got two error codes. P0299 and P0016. The two major issues with this car are:

Issue 1: when starting, it hesitates. Takes extra few seconds to start. (probably around 4-5 seconds of cranking to start the car)

Issue 2: when I put it on drive, car is moving but I step on the gas but neither rpm goes up, nor the car picks up speed. It's very sluggish and picks up speed at a very slow rate but eventually it will speed and go faster.

I'm not sure what is going on with this car mechanically but could you please give me some suggestions if I'm looking at some serious repairs?

For the P0299, it means underboost. Probably a loose waste gate or something with your turbo that is causing it to not produce enough boost

As far as P0016, this is your camshaft position sensor, this code usually pops up when there is an issue with timing chain/tensioner

As far as both of them together, that's going to be pretty pricey to repair. If you're under warranty still I suggest the dealership, if not. Find an indie you can trust. But you should get your car scanned with VCDS just to make sure.

So I recently have been having issues with all of my car doors unlocking but my drivers door staying locked. Tried the other fob and that didn't work, I did have one code and cleared it for the drivers door, that didn't fix it either.

Code 02115 - Locking unit
008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

From what I've read it's the lock assembly / locking drive motor.

The link I have above, the guy fixed it with the control module. But, the link you have, they have the same issue and replaced the locking mechanism.

Not sure what I should buy now. [headbang]

I did find one on ECS.

EDIT: When I got home last night I flipped the lock around in the door and sprayed WD40 on it, shut the door and cycled the lock/unlock from the fob multiple times. It didn't stick anymore and I tried it again this morning and it's still fine. I'll keep an eye on it but it may have been getting tripped up by something and needed some lube. We will see, at least it's saving me money, for now.

P0100 - MAF - Supply Voltage = Triggers when the sensor wire between the MAF (Pin 3, Black wire w/purple marker) and ECU on a B8.5 A4 / 2013 Allroad breaks. I verified the ground wire and + 5vdc were good before removing the connectors "shroud" to find the broken wire. I'd assume this code could come in if any 3 of the wires broke but that's just an assumption... I also saw 0.0 g/s while viewing the "MAF actual" value while the engine was running after I reviewed the scan text and noticed the MAF code.

This code was 3 seconds ahead of MULTIPLE other codes which is a testament to save your original scan before attempting to clear and then re-scan. This code also illuminated the TPMS module failure on the dash, ESC module failure on the dash, and check engine light. Dash lit up like a Christmas tree and freaked the wife out since it's her car and I was driving it like I stole it.
Other codes triggered were:
Transmission P2637 - Torque management feedback signal A along with multiple descriptions on toque converter lockup. Lot's of other modules had "function restricted due to Faults in other modules." I tried clearing before I found the broke wire and all of these codes returned. The transmission code freaked me out needless to say...
ABS Brakes - Engine control module - 013 Check DTC Memory
Parking Brake - 464384 - Function restricted due to Faults in other modules.

The fix involved removing the pin and splicing in 000979034E "VW/Audi repair wire" which is a yellow wire that included the crimps pre-installed. I lengthened all 3 wires to extend the MAF connector as it apparently had less slack than it needed upon heavy engine loading after installing an aftermarket intake...

Thanks for putting this together @infiltrator.

I'm getting a code 00230 Transmission Park Selector Switch (F305) from Carista. I couldn't locate any info on the Ross Tech Wiki but from current research this has happened to Q7s and A6s (there's a TSB for the A6). The symptoms are related in that I am not able to remove the key from the ignition time to time. I have to put it in Acc and then it will usually come out. From what I read there are two switches that work in conjunction to tell the ignition key withdrawal lock to release the key.

Since I'm getting F305 it sounds like it's the transmission park selector switch but I can't locate any info on this part or a parts diagram. Anyone else have or had this issue and can point me in the right direction?

Did your hazards start blinking as well? I had a very similar issue about a month ago when backing into a spot where there was a decent amount of snow. Had dash lights flashing along with my hazards and they wouldn't shut off until I shut the car off and turned it back on. I never got a code though...

In any case - this might help for the p0420 code. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/16804/P0420/001056.

Thanks for the info. So yesterday I started the search. It happened after I hit a good size pothole so I started checking wheels and found that on the drivers side of my a4 a wire was damaged. I recently installed upper adjustable control arms and had to trim a little metal for them to clear properly. So when I hit that pothole the arm came up and damaged these wires. I never thought it would hit them although I did see them during install. So I sliced them back together and problem solved[emoji106] but not the siris radio problem. It's going to dealer tomorrow [emoji1317] not to expensive of a fix.

I recently changed my coil pack connectors. I changed them because I had a misfire code and determined my r8 coil packs and recently changed plugs were fine. I do need to change one more connector that is located on a cam solenoid actuator. Now the car has been running fine, no issues other than some licence plate led flickering, that seemed to happen after I Adjusted my DRL brightness with carista. Weird.... I have searched but unable to figure out what these codes are. The codes are specific to engine I believe. Anyone familiar with these codes??

I bought my car with 33k in 2015. The car had to go back to dealer for various things under warranty. Turbo, valve cover gasket, brake module error. Anyway after that was all sorted, I noticed when I was changing plugs at 35k that one cam actuator connector tip was bent slightly, the plastic portion that goes down into cam actuator. I didn't think anything of it as car was running fine. After changing plug again at 60k I guess the damage was already done and the tip just snapped off😲. Luckily I was able to super glue it on where it still was contacting but the ecm knew the problem.

Hello,
Have a '08 A4, 2.0T 6MTCar has been reliable over 14 months since purchase @ 53K mi. I now have 100K.
First saw this type of CEL after driving at high revs for sometime.
The first message was I think: "Driving with open or loose gas cap, close gas cap"
This went away after restarting car. This happened 1 more time.

So, yesterday I left work, everthing normal and "Check engine"light goes on, car still seems mormal but I get concerned. I babied it all the way home (approx 60mi) and checked codes

I got:

P0445-001 ML ON Evap System
Large Leak Detected
RPM 1834/min. Load 9.4%
Absolute Pres: 1030.0 mbar
VOLTS 13.97 Priority 2

I checked for loose fittings/hoses, pulled and checked PVC.
I had a loose clamp for my boost gauge hose so I tightened it. Cleared codes.

Car drove fine to work next day but on the way home the same CEL came back. The car ran fine home.

Any ideas. Anyone?
Do I just need a new gas cap?

Any help will be appreciated.

Been dealing with this error for 6 months or so. Just replaced the DV with Rev. D

Clearing codes on a weekly basis, and can't figure out what the deal is. I have had an APR tune for almost 5 years with no issues like this.

Wondering if anyone has any ideas? Turbo going bad? Time for a K04?

Not sure if '12 models received the updated "clip" for the turbo wastegate, I don't think so. Have you noticed any decrease in performance at all, specifically a lack of boost? Apparently that's how these IHI turbo's fail, the wastegates fail open which leads to poor performance. If I had to venture a guess I'd say you're probably on the right path with a failing turbo based on your tune and where you and I drive
(I-70 and mountain passes) Hoping it's something simple for you though. Run it by Apikol and have Troy take a look.

^Thanks man! It's time and would appear based on laggy action at low RPM's and fluttering feeling in general the IHI K03 is dying slowly. I'm just going to pull her out an replace with the K04. I appreciate your input, and the boys at Apikol are awesome!

However, I'll have a better Avant overall if I just get going with what should have been done several years ago. I was holding out for a bit of a hybrid or other offering but looks like it will be K04 and WM moving forward.

You are right, I-70 is hard on engines, transmissions and other vehicle systems!

There is a locking mechanism that locks the gas cap from inside the car. You can access this locking mechanism from inside the trunk when you pull back the trunk lining behind the gas cap. It's an easy fix and a known problem. Tight quarters though...

Yea I had a Ross tech scan and it turns out it's the diverted valve, it's a soft code though. Very common with GFB DV+ since it allows for additional pressure and ECU sees that as a malfunction when it's not.

That's the problem with carista, those codes don't actually mean anything... Ross tech actually tells you the Pcode value which is true to the manufacturer info so you can track down the exact issue.

I suggest you get a scan with Ross tech

Anyone know what 02615: Locking fuel tank cap or 02616: unlocking fuel tank cap codes mean? I have a new gas cap on, not sure if these affect anything though.

I also got this fault code when I first scanned my car with VCDS and did some research. You probably found the solution already but for those in future it is related to the solenoid keeping the fuel cap closed when the car is locked. Here's the link to the DIY that I used http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/559521-DIY-Swapping-a-defective-fuel-tank-flap-solenoid-motor

Why would my epc light come on only sometimes and say do not exceed 4K rpm when I really get into it. When I turn the car off then back on it is off? Has anyone else had this happen or know what maybe the problem?

I'm hoping to get some help with my 2009 A4. Replaced the timing chain and all is well until I push the pedal enough for the turbo to kick in. Then I occasionally will get codes: P0016 and P2237 otherwise unless I get on it some, the engine light does not come on and doesn't always come on when I do get on it. I've tried changing the o2 sensor but haven't done the camshaft sensor. Both seem to me unlikely because it is intermittent and only when the turbo would be engaging? It does run a liitle oddly (like a bit of a stutter) when idling and in drive and just starting to move or coming to a stop. While in park it idles well.

Hello,

Have a 2009 A4 2.0 6AT with 71k miles.

Started driving in the morning, after around 1/2 mile car lost power and engine began to shake. CEL and ESP light came on as well. Turned around and limped back home. Ran the RossTech tool to see what codes are coming up:

P0141 or O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1, Sensor 2 is referring to your downstream O2 sensor (the one after the cat, or the second one). I have been receiving this on and off since its been really cold here lately, but from the research I have done, the code is basically saying that the O2 sensor isn't hitting the correct operating temperature, or its taking too long for the O2 sensor to start working once it hits the required operating temperature, and is often related to the electrical impedance being outside of the specified range. I have since been clearing this with carista, but have gathered that a new O2 sensor should resolve the issue. The next question is the debate between an OEM & an OEM equivalent for the replacement, since the price difference is considerable.

General causes!
Potential causes for this code to set are:
Defective O2 sensor(s)
Burnt, broken, or disconnected wiring and/or connectors
Defective catalytic converter
Engine exhaust leaks

Hi. I got error about A/C pressure/temp but my a/c still works.
I need to change that temp sensor or i can drive like that and have 0 problems?
And maybe someone can explain what that sensor is doing, why a/c needs outside temp

Replace a sensor, around 40euro and 5 min job. You dont need cooling anyway in winter, so you can drive like this, but up to you. It measures refrigerant pressure and temp(not outside temp)!

Problem with front parking sensors! 3 of 4 front parking sensors beep all time, sometimes 2 of 4. Connected vcds and no errors. In mass block 3 of 4 shows 0cm, but that who works 255cm (when they are on). When they are off, all 4 show 255cm (i think its not right value, but it shows that and one of them work properly :D) + rear works great all time with same value and didn't saw any way to change it.
Tried to wash them more times, but still 0 changes. They are broke and asks for change or its some other problem?
+ If need to change them, how about painting? on sides they are in car color, but after painting they still work? No need for special paint?

2015 A4 Quattro 2.0T Tiptronic

Threw up a CEL this morning along with a random EPC warning in the DIS.

Diagnosed via Carista:

P0456 (OBD2 confirmed/pending/permanent): Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (very small leak) - 3 codes, ranging from confirmed to pending to permanent.

10530 - Engine. I can't get any info on this so I'm worried. Anyone ever have this code before?

I dropped it off at the dealer this morning, so hoping it's nothing serious. The P0456 code hopefully is just a faulty gas cap or something, but I'm really worried about the engine code. The service advisor says the EPC warning might be a misfire.

Any thoughts?

So, dealer says they replaced NVLD Pressure Sensor.

This cleared the engine code, etc., but I STILL have a P0456 (tank ventilation system: A small leak) PERMANENT code being thrown up. Previously there was a P0456 Pending and P0456 Confirmed code as well.

Any thoughts?

I just got my 2012 a4 about a month ago and I'm getting the P2015 code for intake manifold runner position sensor. I've been doing a lot of research on it in the past few days because I just registered it and have to get it inspected within 10 days (Cant pass NY inspection with a CEL). The limited info i can find on this problem is on older (maybe B7) models or TDI's that are not quite the same. The 'common' problem that shows up is the lever/ vacuum connection that actually moves the flaps actually pops out of place making a big air leak. However in my case that piece only pops out a few mm and I cant hear any major air leak. After all the research I've done theres really no straight forward answer except to replace the whole intake manifold. Is there something Im missing or is replacement the only option? Im taking it to a local seller/mechanic to do other troubleshooting before I have to break down and buy the intake, seals, ect.

Hey guys! Could use some help. Just scanned my car and 3 faults were found:

Are these modules interconnected to the point that, if one decided to shit the bed, so go the other 2?..

Any/all help would be much appreciated.

That does NOT look good my man..

Throw it up on the Ross Tech forum or submit directly to customer support.

They can possibly give you a non biased opinion and if they’ve seen other similar cases.

Feel for you bro, hang in!

Well heres my shot, car broke last night. Had my hand held scanner, but will do a Ross-Tech scan today when i get home.

P0300, P0301, & P0303 (cylinder missfires)

Belching white smoke, loss of power, exhaust sounds like a subaru, Ate a quart of oil to get home (1 hour drive)

Pulled the coil packs and plugs, plug #1 is coated in oil.

Pulled the IC Hose from the turbo outlet and drain a little oil from it (didn't seem like it was very much, but maybe with the high pressure, its sucking alot of oil through the system....)

Anybody have any ideas? Any tests for my turbo? or tests for my cylinders?

Doesn’t show up on Ross Tech’s master list of fault codes. Where/how did you get that value?
What symptoms is your car exhibiting?
May wanna double check that code/tool used to obtain it.

You can do a cylinder test with VCDS. Things to check.
Erratic-rough idle/gear shifting, intermittent check engine light.

After you’ve done a full Autoscan, if you’re throwing codes like P0171 (running too lean), P2279 (intake air leak), 16684/P0300 (multiple misfires), inspect your MAF Sensor as well as your PCV Valve/hoses. If you haven’t cleaned your MAF, I’d strongly suggest that. Get CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner or 99% Isopropyl alcohol, place in plastic zip lock, pour, shake for a few then let it soak for 5-10 minutes. AIR DRY ONLY!! Do NOT touch the heating element. Once bone dry, ensure your intake system + hose clean.
Check your PCV system. To check for vacuum leak, simply let the car idle, then remove the oil cap. Place hand hear opening. If you feel fair amount of suction, chances are you have a vacuum leak. The PCV diaphragm is a weak element in the system and tends to dry out and crack/rupture over time. If you drive aggressively or your car is tuned, you’ll most likely subject your car to higher boost/load situations than an avg commuter. Here’s what mine looked like whe I had similar problems:
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180902/09ce647118887659dac4b44c23bdd9ed.jpg
Pull the PCV cap off (carefully) and inspect. If damaged/cracked at all, replace it with a Dorman PCV diaphragm repair kit (# 917-064). Pretty easy to install but make sure to orient the vent pointing exactly the way it was when you pulled off the cap. Ensure that once on, its tightly fitted. Shouldn’t have much if any play. Check all hoses and connections. Once you’ve done this, clear all DTC’s. Finally, do a throttle body adaptation. Go to Engine module, select Basic Settings, select TB adaptation, hit ok to run it. Once it completes and says “test complete, good”, then you can close out. Wait a minute or two before restarting.

This should at least address the most common sources for failure beyond a bad spark plug or coil. Try swapping positions of the coils. If the cylinder issue moves to where you switched the original coil to, you know you’ve got a bad coil. Look for signs of oil or anything else suspicious around each cylinder and wiring harness. If you’re throwing fault codes re drops in voltage or unreadable signals, check your wiring harness for any loose or frayed connections.

If afterwards you’re still having issues, just take it in.

Best of luck

🤙🏼

I just got a 2011 A4. It has check engine light on and after scanning with a reader at OReilly, I got two error codes. P0299 and P0016. The two major issues with this car are:

Issue 1: when starting, it hesitates. Takes extra few seconds to start. (probably around 4-5 seconds of cranking to start the car)

Issue 2: when I put it on drive, car is moving but I step on the gas but neither rpm goes up, nor the car picks up speed. It's very sluggish and picks up speed at a very slow rate but eventually it will speed and go faster.

I'm not sure what is going on with this car mechanically but could you please give me some suggestions if I'm looking at some serious repairs?

hey did you ever get this figured out?

im having the same issues with my 2013 allroad.

Hey all!

Have an 09 Avant with what seems to be an undiagnosable misfire in cylinder 3. Two independent shops and now a 2nd trip to audi dealer has provided zero answers. Plugs, pcv and coils have been replaced to no avail. Audi has had the car for two months and now wants $1,290 for an exploratory tear down to inspect the camshaft and rocker arm bearings in addition to $1,300 for a bad cam cradle which has been leaking oil causing multiple water pump failures.

They’ve already done a compression test (a bit low in cylinder 3 but within spec) and a leak down test (same result).

My concern is authorizing the exploratory tear down and if they don’t find the problem, being back to square one. I have a claim open with Audi but they won’t offer any assistance until the issue has been dignosed by an Audi dealer.

Wondering how many others have been in this situation and if so, any advice on which route might be best.

Appreciate any thoughts/advice,
Wade

I just got the Parking Brake Malfunction light and AIR BAG light on my way home yesterday. The car drives perfectly normally, the parking brake works without issue. I downloaded an app that reads VAGCOM codes with my OBDII and got the following codes:

8K0907379B - Very few direct results, seems to point to an ABS pump
8K0907064D - Body Control Module? Seat module I assume?
8K0907801H - Parking Brake Control Module
8T1035186R - Audio System

None of this makes any sense. The brake system was inspected a few months ago when I got new tires, and everything was fine. I haven't had any issues with the seats, parking brake, or audio system in the eight years I've owned the car, and everything in the car is working flawlessly. I'm going to try to check for loose connections as some have suggested in this thread and another one, but if anyone has any other advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

Bumping this up as I am confused and in need in of information.

I have a 2013 Allroad with only 32k miles that just popped EPC light and now CEL. Towed it home to see puffs of white smoke coming out of the exhaust(like a small vap clouds), engine spuddering, loss of power, massive engine vibration, prolonged engine startup and very loud clicking from the engine.

Any ideas? Winner gets a free six pack on me.

So I've been having a p2404 code pop up often. I've cleared it several times and it still pops up. Just wondering could this issue lead to my exhaust breathing white smoke when I give it a little gas or could this be another issue?

Hi all. Just had 2nd part of the 19N4 recall performed, and a week later check engine light came on and the code is P0299.

As part of the 19N4 recall, Audi extended the warranty of the turbocharger. Any ideas if the work required to resolve P0299 will be covered under the extended warranty?'

Hi guys,

What would be the best bang for buck diagnostic tool for me? Can a OBD Eleven PRO do all of this things below?
To sum everything below, I need a tool which can scan and reset error codes, reset service intervals and do a real time monitoring of the engine. I will be using the tool for VW and Audi vehicles between 2003 and 2015.
I was planing to spend around 100 €, but I can stretch to 150€ if I would get a better device. What would you suggest? It makes no difference if the device connects to a laptop or a Android smartphone. Both is good for me.

I am planing to buy a used A4 or A6 car, year 2012 or newer. Probably a 3.0TDI 245PS engine with DSG box.
I need the tool which can scan for error codes and reset them. Also, I would like it to be able to check injectors and timing belt condition. Timing belt is condition is checked like this https://mtroxel.com/audi/b8/CamAdaptationVCDS.jpg
I would need the tool also for resetting the service intervals since I plan to change the oil myself. It would be useful if I could do some basic coding like disabling the seat belt warning tone, but it is not necessary.

In the family we already own 2 Volkswagens. One is Polo 2003, other is Passat 2012. On them I would like to scan and reset errors, and reset service interval.

Hey I drive a 2009 A4 Quattro and when I let up off my gas pedal and am coasting I get this almost ratcheting noise but it disappears when I get back on the gas? I looked at a lot of forums no one really gave any ideas so trying there. This also most commonly appears when I’m coasting down a hill.

Do you have a complete Audi DTC instead of just a generic P code? And from which address is this code coming? Complete autoscan would be more useful.

Hello

I tried posting this in the Ross-Tech Forum and have not gotten a reply. Maybe the brain trust here knows what is going on?

I am getting a fault for a Sensor for Fuel Composition and can't find any info for the fault code. Maybe I have gotten some bad gas or gas with higher ethanol than my car likes? Any thoughts?

There are two other faults in the list I am not concerned about.

Thank you!!
Scott

The G446 is documented in Audi SSP 439, pages 16-19, which you should be able to find online via a google search.
What's odd is my wiring diagram document doesn't show the G446 wiring.
Best guess is if it doesn't clear up after a few tanks then you're probably looking at replacing that unit. Term 30 does seem low for a running engine.

That is super helpful. There has been a resounding silence on the other forums I have posted this on. Must be fairly uncommon. Any idea if I can buy this part online. I can't seem to find any reference to it.

So what should the Voltage Terminal 30 be?

Thank you!!

part 21

I would expect term 30 when the engine is running to be mid 13s (normally) to low 14s (early on after a cold start).
I actually have a recent log of term 30 as part of something else, it started out mid 13 right after start, was up to 14.0 after 30 seconds, as high as 14.2 before dropping off to upper 13s after about 75 seconds. Sat in the 13.7-14.0 range for maybe 10 minutes before resting in the mid 13s like at the start. But anything below low 13s I would take as an error condition, if the engine was running. But you'd have to check your gateway address block 14 and see if the car was telling the alternator to produce that low a voltage. See what block 1, 14, and 18 have to say on that module (gateway, addr 19).

Thanks for those links.

I think the Term 30 was low because the fault occurred right at engine start were the voltage hasn't settled in yet.

I am guessing that the voltage and the fault are not related. The fault hasn't come back yet. If it does I will think about replacing the sensor.

Your posts have helped me realize how little I know about how all of the electronics on these cars work and interact!! It is a bit overwhelming!!

Anyone have an EPC light come on with no other codes? I’m not even sure where to start on this one. I’ve searched the forums and haven’t seen anything on this. I’m sure I can’t be the only one though

Got codes for battery monitoring control module and voltage stabilizer 00458 and 03705, cant seem to find a problem other than my battery died 2 days ago, anyone else had these codes? Few people on other forums have these but no resolution, if no luck going to take it to an auto electrician, all help appreciated

Hello all, I recently acquired a 2011 A4 2.0t quattro with a friend of mine. We do not know the history of the vehicle so it's hard to say what was happening before it decided to give up. The car will crank but will not start, I'm not sure what it is supposed to sound like when it's turning over but it sounds weak and doesn't really show any desire to start aside from a couple little burps here and there. We're trying to source some issues and get this thing running again. So far we have found the following codes and I will list a few things that we have done as well. Any help you guys could offer would be great!

2011 A4

143k miles

16706 P0322 engine speed sensor-G28: no signal Error
16708 P0324 knock control
16394 P0010 Series 1: failure of the regulator valve timing
16705 P0321 engine speed sensor-G28: implausible signal
16727 P0343 Camshaft position sensor => sensor-G40: too high signal

We replaced the Oil Cap (old one was leaky), spark plugs, Camshaft Position Sensor, Crankshaft Position Sensor. We checked to see if we were getting fuel on the low pressure side and there was fuel at the engine, we also checked for spark and there was no issue there. Thanks in advance for any info you guys/girls can offer!

My A4 has a fault code:

00657 Center Vent Adjusting Motor (V102).

Is this something to worry about? I haven't really noticed anything amiss, but I guess I'll pay more attention now that I know there's a code.

I bought my 2012 Audi a4 Quattro not to long ago (around 3 months ago) on facebook marketplace and right after I bought it I got the code p2188 (system too rich at idle bank one). I have been trying to fix it for months now but I can’t figure out what the problem is. Here’s what I’ve done to my car so far:
- [x] New PCV valve
- [x] New spark plugs
- [x] New fuel injectors
- [x] New intake manifold gasket
- [x] New High Pressure Fuel Pump
- [x] New Cam follower
- [x] New coolant
- [x] Oil change (4-28-23)
- [x] Replaced engine filter
- [x] Replace cabin filter
- [x] Added Freon
- [x] Cooling Fans
- [x] Radiator
- [x] Cleaned MAF sensor
- [x] New oxygen sensor (upstream)

I have noticed terrible mpg (around 8-9). I think my engine is sluggish but I’m not sure because I don’t know what a normal engine feels like. And when I start the car after letting it sit for a day or two it cranks doesn’t turn on the first try. Usually starts after the third try. I also have very high long term fuel trims (around -18% ~ -21%) I am really lost at this point it’s starting to feel hopeless because of the amount of money I have spent trying to fix a car that I thought had zero problems.
