Can't figure it out!

Using a dash cam "Black Box." I don't trust other drivers!! (A story for another time).

I have it plugged in the cigarette lighter in the center console by the shifter, how do I hide the wire? It goes from there back behind the glove box to the passenger side door.

Thoughts?

Mine goes from the driver footwell to the center of the front windshield. I used a small flathead screw driver to slightly pull the panel gap apart and ran the wire from the fuse box up the A pillar, to the location by the rear view mirror. Took time to make sure not to scratch anything. Feels weird at first pulling the panel gap to be large enough to fit the wire, but returns to normal gap and hides the wire nicely. I originally tried the cigarette lighter, but their adapter is bulky. So I used the fuse box adapter to the cigarette adapter then hide the wires from there...much cleaner.

I agree with DBL R, I would hard wire it to the fuse box.

Definitely hardwired that thing. Its simple just like a radar detector.

if you tap into a fuse circuit that is only on with the ignition.

I do but didn't know if the fuse box was always energized or not, but thanks for the smart ass comment. I'll be sure to return the favor sometime [emoji6]

Just tap into the radio or cig lighter fuse with an "add a fuse" circuit. The items like those are only on when the key is turned other wise they would drain the battery.

to make sure I understand:

so getting the add a fuse, just make sure its the full size fuse, but what amp 10?

Driver side fuse box - I can use the soundaktor fuse for the 'add a fuse' ?

No need for the power magic pro control box if I want the dash cam to power off when the car turns off? (or ignition is off)

use the groundling bolt to the left of the drive side fuse box?

Did I miss anything ?
