I recently got myself a chipwerk pro tuner but I'm curious as to where everyone else has put there's so that it stays dry
& also isn't near anything that gets to hot [:o]

I mounted it to the back of the Homelink transmitter on the back side of the stock grille, using heavy duty 3M plastic velcro (the stuff they use for EZ Pass transponders).

I put mine there also & feel like it's a shitty spot to try & keep it dry😅

What the heck, am I blind. For the life of me, I don't see the unit in the above picture.

Back when I had a Chipwerke S box, I toyed with the idea of applying some clear RTV sealant around the connection between the cable and the box to minimize/eliminate water contact or ingress at that area, but I never got around to doing it. Meanwhile I had mine mounted to the backside of the Homelink transmitter on the rear of the stock front grille, which is above the area of the grille that is open to the front. I drove through many rain storms and washed the car frequently and never had a problem. Water doesn't want to flow against gravity, and unless I were to have pointed a hose into the grille slats and point it upward, I do not think there was any way for a significant amount of water to contact the box directly. If I would have run into a deep puddle head-on, possibly it would have caused an issue.

I've got the RS Honeycomb grill though. Do you guys see that as a problem?

I put mine behind the driver side headlight. It stayed perfectly dry.
