JHMotorsports is pleased to introduce a low cost, 100% Bolt On, Front BBK (Big Brake kit) solution for your B8 A4-S4 A5-S5 that uses the popular Porsche Brembo 6-Piston Caliper, also commonly known as the 19Z!

https://jhmotorsports.com/products/pictures/B8-382-BBK/JHM-B8-382mm-BBK-detail-2.jpg

INCLUDES:
2x - JHM 2-piece Lightweight Slotted Front Rotors
2x - JHM Caliper Brackets with Mounting Hardware
2x - BRAND NEW OEM Porsche (6-piston Brembo) Calipers
2x - Stainless DOT Approved Brake Lines
1x - Set of OE Pads Brake Pads
1x - OEM Brake Pad Sensor (Driver Side Only)
1x - Liter Pentosin DOT 4 Synthetic Brake Fluid

INSTALLATION: This is a COMPLETE 100% bolt on Big Brake Kit for the B8 Chassis. This kit requires ZERO modifications, cuts, grinds, splices, etc. making installation quick and simple. NOTE: The stock Dust Shields will need to be removed for proper clearance

OEM S4-S5 Rotors vs. JHM Lightweight Rotors (A4-A5 vehicles will yield greater results)
-Rotor Weight: Stock = 23lbs(each), JHM = 24.1lbs(each) - Only 1lb heavier for a MUCH larger rotor
-Rotor Cooling Air-gap: Stock = 11.5mm(.450"), JHM = 18.5mm(.728") - LARGER for better cooling
-Rotor Cooling Center Fin Design: Stock = One Direction Airfoil (one side pumps the air from the inside out and the other side pumps the air from the outside in), JHM = Airfoil (side specific rotors that both pump the air from the inside out) - EQUAL EFFICIENCY for equal cooling
-Rotor OD: Stock = 345mm(13.6"), JHM = 382mm(15.039") - 1.43" LARGER
-Rotor Thickness: Stock = 30mm(1.18"), JHM = 34mm (1.33") - 4mm (.15") LARGER
-Bolt pattern: - SAME (fits like an OEM rotor would)

Why the Porsche Cayenne caliper? With its 6-piston design and MASSIVE brake pads it is a strong performer. Also it bolts right up to your spindles using our JHM CNC'd Caliper Brackets. All you need is the included bolts, brake lines and JHM rotors and you have a 382mm Big Brake Kit.

Outer ring specs:
We worked closely with a race brake manufacturer that supplies many NASCAR racers and a couple major brake kit companies. Due to their expertise we chose to have them build us the outer rings to our specs to fit the B8 Chassis. 12 attachment points for durability and strength.

https://jhmotorsports.com/RandD/JHM_Engraved_Rotor_Hat_Closeup.JPG

Center hat specs:
We CNC machine the Aluminum center hats in house based on their recommended materials and thicknesses for durability. 12 attachment points for durability and strength. We also engrave JHM in them in 3 locations equal from each other, it looks clean and doesn't jump out or look tacky.

Custom Caliper Colors Available!

Thanks!

Np, this is probably the best bang for the buck brake upgrade. Only recommendation i'd make is using different pads, or have the option to (if you dont already.)

It definitely is!! These are still a fairly new caliper, so as soon as performance pads start hitting the market we will make the options available [up]

I will note though, this kit with these pads stop a B8 Chassis car AMAZINGLY

Will these bolt on to the c7 a6 TDI? I know the TDI is the same size as the 2.0a6 which I believe is the same as the b8 a4?

If not any upgrades that you offer?

I'll be keeping my eye on this for if/when low dusting brake pad options become available. I don't like the weak braking of my B8.5, but I love my low-dust Akebono pads.

You could always rock the kit now, while its on sale and then swap pads when they are available!

The stoptech 380mm rotor disks look like they have less visible disk

and this kit 382mm makes for a bigger appearance of "more silver" or disk surface area

is that seen as a major difference? i know the calipurs are not the same, so that can play into that, including the pad shape

anyone wanna take a stab at rotor to pad surface area comparisons?

I was looking at the ECS Tuning RS5 stage 3 big brake kit. Anyone have any thoughts on if that would be better than this kit. I have a 2012 S4 tha is for street use. Yes i know that both kits are over kill for the street. I am planning on going stage 2 in the near future.

I'm wondering, why is ECS's stage 4 380mm RS5 kit cheaper than stage 3 365mm kit

I bought and installed the ECS Tuning stage 3 brake kit (front and back - back was pads and rotors) and I am disappointed in the brake pads. I had brake fade while doing my 10 stops for the bedding in process. Otherwise everything else is very good. Pedal height drops a bit so heel and toe is a little harder but not impossible.

I don't care for that fruity Carolina blue. Gonna have to be black powder with the S4 logo. Ahhhh, the decisions/bets made while drinking beer.

You'd think after 31 years I'd have figured that out.

Silly question here, but what if I already have the calipers collecting dust in my garage? Do you have a kit that has no calipers or can i but the parts separately for your kit?

Btw how does the stock S4 brake booster deal with these or does it need to be upgraded?

Lmao fml i skimmed thru your post haha

its all good. im torn between the RS7 calipers i found cheap, the 19z, and the Q5. Q5 seems to be the best bang for your buck.

But then you had to go and mention that you can use a 6/7 calipers and rotors..... and i cant find anything on that. but its a way more affordable option than any of the other options.

We won't do drilled rotors because they are prone to pressure cracks between the holes. Sorry I missed your post.

Old post but...just wanted to ask/check.

Are your calipers the same as the ones listed on the ECS Tunings website for their BBK?

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-parts/front-big-brake-kit-stage-3-2-piece-rotors-365x38/003754ecskt2/

And the templates posted, that's the caliper correct? If its the same caliper then why are the measurements different shown on the templates?

JHM - 63.5mm x 63.5mm

ECS - 50.8mm x 50.8mm

JHM - 63.5mm x 63.5mm

ECS - 50.8mm x 50.8mm

It looks like the same caliper. The scale box is just a measurement used to make sure your printed template is the correct size. Scale box could be 1" or 5" doesn't matter as it doesn't have anything to do with the caliper size/fitment.

Example, if you print ours and your scale box is not 63.5mm, the template size of the caliper will be incorrect and give you incorrect data when checking fitment
