Yes, pressure > temp. Low oil pressure will kill your engine faster than high oil temps. Since our oil is liquid cooled by the coolant, if your coolant temp is normal, chances are your oil temp is ok.

edit: now is there a place to install an oil pressure sensor? or do I have to make one lol.

You basically install a tee fitting where the oil pressure sensor screws into the oil filter housing. 42 Draft Designs sells a kit to do this.

I have the 42DD adapter and it works great. Check with any local VW tuning shops that may be around you. Lots of VW guys use this adapter, really common for tuning shops to stock them.
