ECS flush kit on 19" Flowers

Is anyone running the ECS Flush spacer kit on the 19" flowers? If so, have you had any issues getting the front rims to seat correctly on them?

I'm working with Jason from ECS in another thread on why I can get mine to stop vibrating, was wondering if anyone has had luck with these given they're for the peelers.

No problems at all. I grabbed sandpaper and cleaned the hub completely and then applied an anti seize greese. Drives like stock, took it to 90mph.. No vibration since, installed about a month or so ago.

The hubcentric lip that fits into the back of your oem wheel. It helps the wheel lock onto the spacer better.

I have the flush kit on my peelers. Flowers or peelers shouldn't matter. You shouldn't be getting a vibration from them.

Go on ECS site and look at the difference from the 8 to 10

Interesting.

I had real bad shake upon initial assembly. Took everything off, had fronts balanced again, re-assembled and most of it went away. But at 68-72 it's pretty bad still. Under load it subsides a bit.

This is BO 19" wheels and the flush kit 8mm spacers. Torqued evenly and in steps, hand snugged with extension to start. Never had problems like this on other cars with spacers. But glad to see I'm not the only one.

I had the same issue with their kit. Ended up returning the front 8's by ECS and getting 10mm HR from them. I still had a slight vibration but I think it's because I didn't clean the surrounding areas and wheels very well. I kept the 12.5 in the rear but I should've just went with 15mm HR back there too

Have the flush kit on mine... No issues whatsoever. Shouldn't be any fit difference between the flower/peelers with the spacers.

do the spacers spin freely around the hub when installed? That's when you know you sanded down enough rust. Its also recommend to use two wheel hangers when installing the wheel.

I changed 8's for 10's today and it's night and day.

It's really a joke ECS is selling the 8's with the flush kit IMO. The fitment in the wheel goes from sloppy to snug between the two.

If you're having issues, just bitch them out a little and maybe they'll make a change.

Or you can just give us a call and let us know you would like to exchange them for 10mm spacers if you're not happy. We've sold many of these kits and there has only been a couple people that seem to have issues.

Depending on if you have lowered suspension or a wider fitting tire 10mm may be too much up front and cause you to rub. This is the reason we included an 8mm spacer so even if you are pretty low or have a wider tire you still have a nice flush fit but enough clearance not to rub.

Unfortunately 8mm spacers do not have enough material to allow for a hub extension like a 10mm. There's only enough to add the chamfered lip - which will definitely help center the wheel better than a spacer that is flat.

I recently ordered the flush kit from ECS 12.5mm rear, 8mm front, and after reading posts about potential vibration issues with the 8s up front (and having no plans to lower my car) I called customer service and worked with Rachel and she allowed me to send back the 8s, in exchange for the 10s, thanks ECS! Sorry to hear how your situation was handled. Seems slightly out of character from expectations. But I will say typically warranty or support is not transferable with out proof of ownership. Usually if some evidence of owner ship is shown like a photo or two we can do our best to make something happen. That being said do you have an e-mail or phone number we could contact you at? I'm having the same issue AFTER installing ECS' two piece rotors up front. Turns out there's not enough room on the hub with the new rotors + spacer. The cause of vibration is due to my wheel riding on the LUGS and not the hub ... VERY dangerous!

Trying to work this out with Jeff @ ECS right now ...

After taking off the 8mm spacer the car drives fine.

2) I just picked up a 380mm Brembo GT BBK, will 10mm spacers work with this bbk (is there enough room?)?

3) I do track my car. Is it ok, or is it a bad idea, to do track days w/ spacers on the car? I just imagine that vibration during high speeds and aggressive turning and breaking would not be idea, but if the spacers are properly installed and the fitment were snug, would they be ok on the the track?

Should have no issue running 10mm spacers and the 380 kit as well as tracking with the spacers. Just be sure the lug bolts a the proper size to accommodate 10mm spacers.

Rotor hub offset, chassis, wheel offset all have an effect on how much space a manufacture leaves for wheels to be spaced out. Not surprising if Audi made changes from a previous chassis.

So I originally posted that there was no issues with my setup.

Turns out I am getting some rubbing in the rear under hard cornering, only seems to be happening on the rear passenger side.

This only happens if I have one or more passengers.

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue, and which spot would I be rubbing on?

My setup is stock flower wheels with stock tires, HR OE springs + ECS 12.5 mm rear and ECS 10 mm front.

Likely cause your camber has not been adjusted after you lowered your car.

I got rubbing as well in the passenger rear during bad dips and hard cornering. I've got the flush kit installed on stock 19" peelers and lowered on coils.

I got an alignment done with the coil and spacer install, even went back to get raised 3/4 inch, but still rubs (not quite as bad).

Thinking of swapping the 12.5's for 10's or even 8's.
