Looking at Rev Motoring's BBS reps here:http://www.revmotoring.com/wheels-1/18x85-lm-style-wheels
and it shows photos of them fitted to a B8.Can I safely assume that if it fits that front end WITHOUT spacers or adapters,it will fit my B7 also without spacers ?

Clearing the brakes shouldn't be an issue, but spacers are used for more than just that purpose. With the link you posted the wheels you are considering are 18 x 8.5 ET 35. My B7 came with the Ti package and the stock wheels are 18 x 8 ET43. These are a bit wider, and pushed more outboard as well, so caliper clearance shouldn't be an issue, but you'll be much closer to the edge of the wheelwell, so if you're lowered more than Sport suspension, it may get close.

Also, I guess you already know but just in case... Bore on the B7 is different and is 57.1... You'll need adapters to fit these wheels.

I can almost guarantee you'll need spacers. Just about any concave wheel or anything with a lip on the front of a B7 will need spacers. ECS has the just about the same wheel and they say requires 15mm spacers up front to run them. As for being 66.6 you'll just need the hub rings to make them fit correctly onto your 57.1 hub (ECS includes them).

Ive been using this handy calculator and can see your point:http://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1=235-40-18X8ET43&wheel2=235-40-18X8ET35&fcl=50mm&wcl=30mm&scl=50mm

Thankfully not the other way !

I understand the lip pushing the centre back towards the caliper but I would have thought convex would have been more likely to foul the caliper-or am I missing something ?
