So I finally got around to adding the lap timer, so I have the actual oil temp now.

I waited until 80°C+ before I push it and after some highway driving yesterday (constant 120-130km/hr, little traffic, outside temp around 25°C), it got up to as high as 113°C. Is that too hot or normal?

I've seen 240's many times during the 95+ days and some fun runs on the freeway.
So long as you have quality oil, and OCI are within reason, I really wouldn't worry too much!

Upon converting 113 degress C to F, it seems that your temp was about 235 degrees. That seems to be spot on with what I typically see when i run my car harder than average. I have seen it get up to 240 - 247 though -

That's totally normal. Drive on.

Yep I wondered the same, found out that was pretty normal. Most I saw was 243 but that was 80+ out and pushing it very hard

My temp is always constant at about 90 - 95.
It did go up to about 130C one time and I got the "shut engine off" warning sign; the reason being I was out of coolant lol

I was seeing 262-264F on the track this week. I consider the danger zone 280F+, but many people don't worry until over 300F.

I've been curious to hear what oil temps guys have been seeing on the track. 250-270 F sounds great for track time. The oil will not begin vaporing off until you see the 325-350 degree F range depending on the condition of the oil/fuel content/quality of oil, etc.

I've been using a new oil this oil change...Pennzoil Ultra and driving the car in the worst heat of the summer and I'm seeing temps about 10 degrees lower than I have in the past. Can't wait to get the oil analysis on this oil.
